    Thank you.

It seems he soon got sussed by that forum (which does have Moderators who have clipped his wings)!

Good man Andy, I was just looking for that one ..I'm sure i posted it on here somewhere when it happened ....
The time has come to close this thread now.

This is not a support forum for the company and nor is it acceptable for the company to use this to spread their name and products. So since this is all this thread has become and we have moved way away from the original question, I'm closing this thread.

    Hi Quentin,
Quite a few HDUK AV Overclockers etc etc when I get some more time I will post a few links but this one would be an example of the type of thing I was talking about .....http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=14985790

    Thanks for this.

I see that he is quite happy to egg the pudding over there in an attempt to curry some favour.

Note his reference to not participating here but instead using the pm system to "help" customers he "spots" in trouble.
I still visit MSE, I just don't get publicly involved - any customer I spot in trouble gets a PM.

In fact we know no-one here has been able to get a pm from him for months, as he tells us he disabled the pm function, and only deals with emails.

The funny thing is he keeps complaining about people showing his shortcomings but I have yet to see any evidence of him helping anyone. He ignores peoples help and seems like a complete waste of space.

Sorry but you keep argueing that you want to help people. If thats the case ignore me ignore silk and help people. But you aren't are you. Puire bull.

Yes quite correct and theres loads of threads and posts on here which support that fact.
Theres lots of smoke and mirrors but unless it's to do with promoting sales sadly resolving issues is cast aside.
As you say waste of space

  • Dear Ben,

I've responded to your email and since received a message from 'Dean', who informs me that the Contract will be cancelled when the handset is received by Mobiles.co.uk by the courier (DHL).

    This is unacceptable.

The contract was cancelled prior to its inception. It has not been authorised or signed by me, nor has delivery taken place. I therefore request that you cancel the contract and its associated features ('gadget help' and insurance cover) immediately.

Please confirm that this cancellation has taken place by return.

It is disappointing that your slow turnaround of a simple order has led to this lamentable negative publicity for your company. A simple matter of answering emails and telephones effectively may well have tipped the balance against what could be untold losses in failed revenue. This is not a good business outlook.

I await your prompt reply and will now pursue this matter further with Orange, regarding this unethical contract engagement.

    Regards,

    D

Sorry to butt in now but I think if you have received confirmation that the contract will be cancelled once the courier returns the item is fair.

mobiles.co.uk can not prove you received the phone unless the courier delivers it - if they deliver it return it as it came or refuse to accept it - job done as far as I can see.

Items such as insurance and gadget helpline are normally required to be cancelled by the customer and are usually free for 30 days - so providing the phone gets back to them in one peice - you will not any charge for the contract or the extras.
