Thanks to a recommendation on this thread I started to use Morrisons unsweetened longlife soya milk-I think it was 63p a litre-and was almost as good as the original Aldi SM. Now this seems to have disappeared too and they only seem to have the Alpro version on the shelves, which I find deeply unpleasant.
Does anyone know if this is a temporary loss?o
It was in stock in my local store this week as I debated over buying it and went to look at the price (I got the fresh in the end).0 -
I'm now using sainsbury's own UHT unsweetened soya milk. It costs 60p/litre for the value and 69p/litre for red carton- both have the same ingredients and nutritional info, its only the cartons that are different. I miss the old aldi soya milk, but this is a good replacement and recommended.

I was buying Aldi soya milk and noticed that about 1-2 months ago it vanished from the shelves for a week and returned under a different name in a different part of the store.
I didn't check the nutritional content for any significant changes, as I normally just look at the ingredients and make sure it's not got any added crap to it like sugar.
I went on a visit to the rents last week and had a small glass of soya milk there and it tasted too sweet, so I checked it out and it was some crap sweetened stuff (so good ). Arrggghhh, it looks like my parents are also secret sugar addicts.
I'm moving to a place without an Aldi in a few weeks, oh my, how will I survive? LOL. So it looks like it won't be possible to live as cheaply and healthy anymore.Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
For anyone who hasn't noticed, Tesco currently have the 1 litre cartons of Alpro UHT Soya Milk on a 2 for £1.50 offer. This includes the Organic variety which sells for £1.04 and the Lighter variety which sells for £1.22.

Soya Delight is back in my local Aldi. A whopping 8% soya beans, not 4%-59p. Not tried it yet but I'm optimistic....I really should get out more.....0

I'll pay a visit to our local aldi - fingers crossed! :beer:0

I had a look, and it is not available at my local aldi. Although looks like soya delight have bought out vegetarian dairy free meatballs and burgers in aldi fridge section. Therefore the company is still in existance?!0

FPS-Hopefully it will be in your local soon. Ive tried it and its fine-back to the original standard. No curdling and definitely worth 59p.0
