Raph, they are indeed. Its silly really but I guess its good to have little 'treats' to look forward too. I mean a journey as long as the one I am on needs little lifts throughout. Are you still sticking to maintance and running?
Beanie, cute! I am glad they were put to a good cause... bet you all looked really christmassy :j
Nothing much to report here... Todays spends are as follows ~ £1.20 parking, not too bad I dont think as that was in the town centre too. I haven't done a PaD today simply because I am hoping to save up 10 days (£10) to start adding to argos. I have however moved it into a seperate account, so its already removed form my 64 days
I have also listed my ds and games on ebay at last. I figured that its better to have some potental christmas bidders than in the new year. I am hoping for about £40 after fees, so anything above would be fab. That will all of course go towards my Argos debt.
I am getting increasingly worried about this Argos debt. The 0% period expires in March and I have £237.22 left to pay. Somehow I dont know if I will be able to clear it in time. Which will mean an interest charge of 28% over the whole of the balance for the 6 months  I think I may have to ask Mum if I can skip a months housekeeping to get it cleared. There is no other way around it. I am however grabbing tons of overtime this month (will be payed January) which I can throw at it... We will see but it will be tight
As a side note the 12week challenge that Sally was running has now come to an end. That challenge really motivated me to make small chages that made a significant change in my life. I really want to carry on with that so I am adding it into my diarySo I am going to do a 6 week challenge starting today that will end on the 18th January. So in the next 6 weeks I will...
* Pay at least another £100 off my debt
* Keep up the spending diary
* Spend no more than £5 a week on myself (excludes my birthday)
* Exercise at least 3 times a week
* Read at least 2 books
* Make sure I get to bed at a reasonable time, ie before midnight
The excercise is taking the dog on a long 45min+ walk as opposed to just over the field. Sadly I still cant do my excercise dvd's.
All of those should keep me busy and then I will reset new goals after the six weeks. Small changes and plodding on will lead to a huge change over time...
Have a fab week all and remeber to plod and lokk back every now and again :j0 -

You've got to have something to keep your journey from being boring
I've not been running for a few weeks, due to the crazyness before the wedding, and now the nasty weather. But I'm eager to get out there.
I've put on a few lbs, but not really worried, I know as soon as I get out running again I'll soon lose it, I've been good with my food so it's just the lack of exercise

Evening all, I think I am due an update  Its a huge one sorry guys
Beanie ~
Skinty ~ You will acheive something in six weeks. Anything maybe something simple, maybe spend an extra hour doing something special with ds? I am sure there is something small you could do within the six weeks... its not long
penguin ~ Ohhh have you set some goals... I must hunt out your diary
Raph ~ I agree, ohhh I see. I saw your wedding pics you look amazing, unreconisable even. Lovely to see you playing your sax at it too :T Get back out there running... Oh and enjoy Japan when you go....
So this week, or shall I say last week past in a flash. I am now grabbing as much overtime as I physically can as I want to try and get Argos cleared before Feb the 1st. Think I can do it (see below) but I want to make super sure. I am also hoping if I can clear that I may be able to squirral some money and I can go on holiday next year (May)... We shall seeAnyways overtime, managed 9 1/2 hours in Decembers pay (birthday spending money) and up to 11 1/2 for January pay already. I am hoping to get that up to at least 26 hours, so equivalent of £130
So spends...
Tuesday 8th ~ £10.00 debt (Pad’s until 16th)
Wednesday 9th ~ £0.99 ~ quilling kit/papers
Thursday 10th ~ nsd
Friday 11th ~ nsd
Saturday 12th ~ 20p coffee
Sunday 13th ~ £2.70 new razor holder
Monday 14th ~ nsd
And six week plan...
* Pay at least another £100 off my debt ~ £10
* Keep up the spending diary ~ Yep above
* Spend no more than £5 a week on myself (excludes my birthday) ~ £3.89
* Exercise at least 3 times a week ~ Monday, Wednesday, Friday
* Read at least 2 books ~ 3/4 through number 1
* Make sure I get to bed at a reasonable time, ie before midnight ~ M.T.W.T.F.S.S
So its payday tommorow that means soa time....
December ~ Total = £406.77
£120.00 ~ Rent
£16.00 ~ House ins
£12.50 ~ Line rental
£23.00 ~ Argos debt
£10.00 ~ t v
£63.00 ~ internet
£14.85 ~ 15th December
£36.95 ~ 23rd December
£36.20 ~ 30th January
£35.70 ~ 6th January
£36.20 ~ 13th January
£2.37 ~ Mum
As you can see I have no bus tickets on there this month. The reason being is when I brought the last one (to replace the one I dropped in a puddle!) Mum then brought me one too :grinheart That means I have 19 journeys left... As of 29th I have either days off/holiday up untill 17th jan, so after payday. I am sure I can get the 19 to go that farSo the Argos debt is some of that money plus I now have breathing space.
I also owe Mum £2.37... So I mentioned a few weeks ago I was going to trade in my DS, well game would give me £60 for my console and 8 games  I thought that was awful, so last sunday I put them on ebay... Made £176.32, thats before fees and postage costs though and because ebay had free postage in the games catogory it wil cost me a bit. So I sent a few but was £2.37 short so i need to repay that. The few I have left to post I can cover tomorrow... So I should clear £130 at the bare min for Argos :j
I did however use £2.70 for a new razor holder. I bulk brought 20 razor heads from Boots when they were reduced. However the dog snaped my holder a few weeks ago. So me being mse I asked for a new razor for christmas, but I will not throw away 9 new blades so hence the spending£2.70 isnt too bad though...
So debt at the moment stands at £368.25. However I have decided to work on Argos for now. Mainly because the 0% ends very soon and if I dont pay it all back I will be charged 28% from when I brought the item  Also I got my first interest added to my credit card this week and to my suprise I was only charged £1.35 on a £140 debtSo the interest rate on that is certainly managable.
So Argos £227.22 at the moment - £23.00 payday money - £130.00 ebay leaves = £74.22. So thats what I need to find before the end of January. As I am set up for overtime in work I am sure I will be able to clear this debt in Januarys pay :T then it will be full steam ahead for saving and clearing the credit card. Holiday is roughly £250 for the accomodation and a large spending pot, looking at my up and coming budgets its can be done, with a lot of no spends... we shall see
So my 64 day challenge... Its now day 30 and I have £57.11 left :j All of which is heading for debt if I can control my spends. To be honest there is nothing that needs to be brought before christmas now. I do need to buy the animals stocking but at the max they are £5. Also I have spent some of that sending ebay parcels but I will replace those once the paypal money clears
So thats me, another month and the end of the year soon.I cant believe this year has gone so fast  I must be getting old :rotfl:
I hope you have a lovely week, and remember Christmas is one day. You dont need to overspend just to make it festive, just make it a happy family time....
Keep on plodding :j0 -
