But somethings are worth so much money as we both know :)

Beanie I will shamlessly steal the mastercard slogan but... Somethings are priceless and Thomas to me is one of those 'things':D He is snoring now at the foot of my bed, something so common is making me smile so much :rotfl:

Hi PaP, and all - glad to see that you have been re-united with Thomas :T :T

Now all you need is a mouse called 'Jerry'. ;)

It is funny how you can become attached to a cat - I have never been the greatest fan of the 'feline' species. I always felt that they 'traded affection for food' whereas a dog showed true affection towards its owner.

Then, some six years ago, we were 'landed' with my daughter's two cats, after her break-up. Initially, they did treat us with 'disdain', but over the years they have formed a relationship - the younger one is so 'attached' to my wife that he will sit by the door and wait, sometimes for hours, for her to come home. Oscar, the older one, on the other hand, will only sit on my lap, purring, snoring, smelling and doing other things that cats do. The only problem I have is with their hair - they are Persians and their hairs go everywhere.

Never mind - all's well that ends well. You keep 'plodding' and I'll keep 'trundling'. :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Pap, completely understand regarding your cat. I'm so relieved he's home and safe. You can relax now.

On a lighter note, I thought I had lost the kittens the other night, checked everywhere (even outside and we don't let them out yet). After 1/2 hour I was starting to panic when they stuck their heads over the stair banister. They have now found their way upstairs and their fav hiding place is in an old fabric wardrobe in the spare room. Thats a few more grey hairs for me.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Rog ~ Bless you, I had never been a cat person. Much prefered fish and hamsters but when I was a teenager we aquired a stray. Tabby was old but he had a good few years and ones which were bleak without us. Once he passed away we knew we needed another feline but wasnt sure. Thomas was set to be 'released' So we had him for the price of a packet of cigarettes at the time! Of course now he is the head of the household :rotfl: Wouldnt have it any other way though :T Glad you have found a little feline friend though, and I agree with the hair, Tom malts all year around... keep trundling Rog :A

Pen ~ :rotfl: Little blighters, at least they werent completely lost. Why is it that four little paws can cause such a riot  I think cats just like to keep us on our toes ;)

    So update time :T

Not much has happened really, I have worked some overtime so fingers crossed on payday I should recieve around £40 extra. I ave also been comping and trying to get some more freebies for christmas and for next year. Going well I think :D

So here are my spends ~
    Friday 20th ~ £2.00 debt + £1.00 teas/coffees
    Saturday 21st ~ £2.00 debt + £2.97 itunes
    Sunday 22nd ~ £2.51 debt + £1.99 truprint + £1.00 savings tin

So not too bad, the coffees and teas couldnt be helped as I had those while on overtime when the cafe was closed. Not too bad though as that was 5 cups. The itunes has been my first downloads since September. I am hoping I may recieve some vouchers for christmas so I wont download now untill then, oh and one was a charity single :T Finally the truprint is postage for a freebie. I needed one last thing for Mum for xmas and this is a bear with our holiday snap on its shirt, perfect for £1.99.

I have also addred £7.95 to my credit card... but its not all bad. Basically I had promised myself for my birthday I could spend some money at hotel chocolat. Anyway last night I was looking online and thinking I should buy it online before, with 13% cashback. I didnt but on the daily chat they mentioned the tasting club, so I signed up. Basically its £7.95 a month and you get 32 chocs to try each month, however on your first month you get an extra slab and drinking choclate. But the best bit is you get £6 cashback so it only 'cost' £1.95. I do think however I will keep it up for two months before cancelling though, only beacuse I want to buy my Mum a box of chocs for her birthday and I was going to pay £7 for 9 chocs (+ postage) I think so this will be cheaper

So in order to try and balance this out I have finally listed the remainder of my craft bits (apart from a tiny amount) on a craft website. I have only listed them for small amounts but there is no fees needed. So adding it up if it all sales at the prices I have listed (I will accept offers) I could raise £108 :D Postage is payed for by the buyer but I will need to use it form money in my account now and replace it, but thats no problems. They will be set 'live' tomorrow so fingers crossed :D

Thats it I think. I am still comping and although I havent won anything yet I think I may. The only problem is I am running out of bottled water. I know practically I really shouldnt buy it but its one vice. I am hoping work will have an offer on next week :T However today I have £123.77 left for my two months money. I need to have at least £70 left when I get payed on the 15th so I have my PaD's for next 'month'. Its going to be a little tough but I am sure I will do just fine :j

    Keep on plodding all :grinheart
  • Hi Paps, sorry too shattered to give a sensible reply tonight. Hope you come up with something soon in the comps. Px.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
  • Hi Pap, how are you getting on? Is Thomas settled at home again now?

Hi Pen, sorry I am really due an update but things are just plodding really  Thomas is settled ish, it transpires that there is a 'huge' grey cat, bigger than Thomas, prowling the estate. Sadly because we live next to a woods and this backs onto two more estates we have no idea where he lives. He certainly doesnt belong to anyone in our road. Anyways one of the neighbours see this cat regularly attacking/chasing Thomas  Of course its natural behaviour but Thomas is shy and placid and would rather hide than fight :rotfl: It explains his grazes seen over the past few months though  He is ok generally though :T

    So update of sorts ...

My items sold, well not all, some I have given to charity but the majority. After 'paying back' my postage I will have around £60 for debt, as more post to go today. I think thats not too bad considering I was planning on binning it all. I am going to pay that towards Argos I think once it clears from paypal, that will bring my Argos card bill to just over £200. The £7.95 for the chocs hasnt hit my credit card yet but when that does I will transfer that from my 64 day challenge money :T

So break down of spends ~
    Monday 23rd ~ £1.30 debt
    Tuesday 24th ~ £1.80 debt
    Wednesday 25th ~ £2.02 debt
    Thursday 26th ~ £2.50 debt

Obviously I havent included the postage I have payed out these past few days because when the paypal money clears I will be getting that back. Not too bad considering... That leaves me £116.15 and we are on day 14. I do have one parcel that wont be sent untill mid December which will come from that money (approx £4) but generally I can do at least £1.50 PaD untill the end of the challenge :j

After doing the truprint bear offer they offered me a free 40 prints. Mum had mentioned while on holiday she wanted three pics I took printing so she can put them in a frame. So using that offer and £1 Mum owed me to cover postage I have another extra gift for her. I will need to buy some cheap frames to put them in but I am sure I can find somehing in the £1 shop :rotfl: Now I really am offically done with christmas, even freebies etc I must stop buying/ordering stuff. I will still be on the look out for next years pressies though... I am determinded to not pay for anything for christmas/birthday next year :D

So thats me, off in a min down the local shops to send the last remaining parcels and pay the rent. Might pop into the charity shop for a mooch and drop off some sacks. I have sore throat just now but I really don't want to have to buy medication for it, simply because it messes up my diet

Have a great weekend all, and keep on plodding
