Happy Christmas Pap x x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Happy christmas all the subscribers/lurkers/posters on my thread. Without your continued support I would not be able to keep plodding :j
So even though its the big day I still cant not think about my debt. So after loging onto my online banking I had a shockSo a few weeks ago I brought a christmas book for myself £2 and although I moved the money across I didnt add the £2 to my debt, so that was added today. I also purchased (on my credit card) a birthday gift and christmas gift online for two friends on mse that I forgot to add to my debt. So I have just transfered £28.21 into my credit card account that means once it all clears my credit card debt will stand at £170.00
This is money I had put asside for my birthday shopping but alas the debt comes first... I now have £45.51 in my 'spends' account which is the 64 day challenge account. I have £106.39 in my main bank account which is all for bills. I then have £30.00 left for my birthday spends plus I have a £40 gift card that I can use. I am not all that bothered about the shopping now and I only need very little so its not a huge problem.
So for the challenge before my birthday I need to pay Argos £9.52. I shall do that now using my 64day money, leaving £35.99. That will mean my debts stand at £120.00 Argos and £170.00 credit card :j Total of £290 Perfect number for the new year
I had a lovely day, I dont like the beginning much but its because its the same every year  But the latter part was fab. I recieved many a present most of which are useable and perfect. For once I havent recieved anything that will be put on a shelf to gather dustNow I am ready to go to bed and then back to work tomorrow
Hope everyone has had a fab time, and is looking forward to the coming year :T0 -
Hi PAP :santa2:
I feel a bit sad popping on here (MSE I mean - not your thread), but the debt journey continues even on Christmas Day
I'm sure you'll have a great year in 2010. Enjoy the rest of your day and Merry Christmas!0 -
Hi Pap, and everyone :santa2: :santa2: :santa2:
Couldn't 'pop in' yesterday as we were busy with family.
Hope everyone is having a good Christmas.
Back 'trundling' tomorrow   so will be making the most of this evening - big 'family tea'. :T :TI am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Macgirl, I know its upsetting having to think about debt all through the year but just think in a few years time you will be free from it. I hope you had a lovely day anyways and have a great new year
Rog, ohhh yes back to plodding. I am the same back to work today for me. I hope you had a nice day yesterday. Have a lovely family tea tonight and enjoy the company. Is your family getting together for new year?
Beanie, thanks I do hope you had a very good day with your Mum and son. I hope 2010 is everything you ever hope for :A
Nothing much to add today, I have managed to 'sell' the vouchers I recieved yeasterday. They were for a large retail park where I work but I wouldnt have spent them. So I sold them and now have the cash to take to town on my birthday. I will however try and keep some back to put towards my debt :T
Thats about it really. Looking forward to Tuesday night when I can relax and pack all work stuff away for a few days :T

I'm hoping that this time next year that debt will be GONE PaP!
I'll keep popping on here for inspiration
Hope everyone's had a good Christmas x0 -
Thanks Shoegal, everyone says I am amazing although to be honest I just keep on plodding. I have been on mse so long and although I am not in major debt I must aim to be debt free and stay debt free for a year. We will all get there in 2010, I know 2009 has been a horrid year for many on mse so 2010 has to be better :j
Ohhh yes please Mac, that would be fab if you can be debt free. Imagine going into 2011 with no debt and savingsThat would be amazing.. Good vibes to you then to get it cleared... Good luck
So update form me, due to christmas and being downstairs away from all my budgets etc this is my late version for my spends and six week challenge. It is now the start of week four and I am doing really well :j
24th ~ nsd
25th ~ £4.09 debt + £9.52 debt
26th ~ nsd
27th ~ nsd
28th ~ £20.00 Argos debt
* Pay at least another £100 off my debt ~ £131.31 - Total £176.36
* Keep up the spending diary All week ~ 3/6
* Spend no more than £5 a week on myself (excludes my birthday) ~ £6.94/£5 - Total £12.82/£15
* Exercise at least 3 times a week ~ Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3/6
* Read at least 2 books ~ One done, Two done,
* Make sure I get to bed at a reasonable time, ie before midnight ~ S.M.T.W.T.F.S.S 3/6
As you can see I am paying another £20 from my Argos debt today. That brings that one down to £100 :j I will use my 64day challenge money for this but as I am off work untill next payday I cant see me using much/any of that money. I have also listed my ds back on ebay. I have already payed the fees for this sale so whatever I recieve after paypal fees and postage I can pay towards Argos. I am hoping for at least £30
So thats me for another few more days. Plodding on and making a dent in the debt. I am planning to go through all my budgets for the coming 3/4 months and see how the debt repayments and then savings will come along. I my old diary I had a lot of things I wanted to save to buy but now I think I will just save to save :rotfl:
Keep plodding all, and have a fab new year :beer:0
