  • Beanie ~ Indeed it was a long one, now I dont update often its a huge one every week. As long as it didnt send you to sleep :rotfl:

Rog, Trundle is a lot harder, best to plod ;) Hope you have fab christmas and your grandson enjoys himself :D

Sally, Yes a great price, however the person who has won the ds hasnt paid yet  I hope she will pay by the end of Monday if not I fear I may have to relist it. I could do a second chance offer but if its people that wanted it as a christmas gift they would have bid on another one  Oh joys :rotfl:Yep work, work, work... However I am now up to £100 extra for my pay packet in January. I havent got any overtime for this week but may grab a few hours :D

    So update time :j

Spends ~ I dont seem to be doing any PaD's lately. I think I will leave it untill the new year now but obviously I am going to be paying that huge chunk off when I get my paypal money :T
    15th ~ nsd
    16th ~ nsd
    17th ~ £1.99 Christmas book
    18th ~ £12.05 credit card debt
    19th ~ £0.57 condensed milk

    And 6 week challenge ~
    * Pay at least another £100 off my debt ~ £35.05 this week - Total £45.05
    * Keep up the spending diary All week - 2/6
    * Spend no more than £5 a week on myself (excludes my birthday) ~ £2.56/£5 this week - Total £5.88/£10
    * Exercise at least 3 times a week ~ Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday - 2/6
    * Read at least 2 books ~ One done, 1/4 of one (this one i cant put down so hopefully I may be able to do three...)
    * Make sure I get to bed at a reasonable time, ie before midnight ~ M.T.W.T.F.S - 2/6

Thats me really, just plodding through this month. Nothing major is planned for the coming week, I have agreed to go to the carol service tonight though :o Its with my 'old' church, I used to attend church nearly every other day for something years back. Then two/three years ago I went through my illness and I had to leave the church, my choice. I have wanted to go back for over a year but havent felt strong enough. I think doing it this way will be easier for me to deal with as it will be super busy (always used to be at the carol service) so I can blend in :D

Ohh and also I seem to have mis calculated my diet packs. Weigh-in day is either Wednesday/Tuesday depending where my shifts fall and when space is avalible. Well I had weigh-in on tuesday and brought 7 days. This means on Tuesday morning I would get more for the following week. I am weighing on Wednseday NIGHT this week :wall: This means I am six packs short  I am hoping me and the CDC can come to some sort of arangement to pick some up  I obviously wasnt thinking last week :o

Anyways I hope you all have a fab week, and an amazing christmas day. Dont forgt to plod and dont go rushing out on xmas eve for extra food/gifts, its one day, if you havent got it now I am sure you can cope without it :j

  • Hiya... love the new avatar! :)

Plop news about the DS, hope the money comes through soon!

Quickie question... your 'Argos', is that the store card? Do you know if you can view your acc online? I don't know if I'm just being dense, but I can't see that you can.... and I wanna know my balance before the int kicks in... on 25th Dec!!

Glad you're doing ok... do you think you'll start going back to church after the carol service?

Still quietly plodding as always :)

Hi Sarah, Love your avatar too, I guess he is of that age now that he understands Christmas :D Bet thats fun... Yes Argos is my store card but sadly you cant view your acount online. However give them a ring they are rather nice for a credit service. They will tell you the balances and if you have any on 0% periods when they end.. Reagrding the church I am unsure, I do miss my faith and I miss the community the church offered. I will see what happens, maybe in the new year?

Glad to see you plodding, you havent updated your diray in a while though :( Take care :D

I know, I keep meaning too but there's nothing very exciting going on.... well I don't feel that anything very exciting is goin on, not compared to everyone else! I really do need to get back into it! I might follow what you are doing and do a bigger update once a week or so...

Connor is loving Christmas this year... he actually helped decorate the tree, even if he did put all the baubles on the same branch! He loves Father Christmas, and keeps trying to open the couple of presents that we do have under the tree... the rest are dotted around the house until Father Christmas can come and put them under the tree - strage nightmare though!!

I think see how you get on with the church, of course they will welcome you back in, then see how you feel in the New Year. You'll probably find it will do you good, even if its just to get away from the stresses of being at home (how are things btw?) I've never been a religious/church person, but on the occasions where I have been, even as an 'outsider' - for want of a better word - you still feel the sense of community.

I'll have to give Argos a call then, I know the balance started off at just over £165, and I know I have paid at least £35 off but I can't remeber if I did another payment or not, and don't wanna send them too much money:money::D

    Sarah :naughty::naughty:

Ohhh please post, I love your diary. It may not be as exciting as some seen on here but I love the way that like me you just plod on and get the debt repayed. I also love to see how/if your oh has turned into a fab money saver :rotfl:

Aww bless him, he is the right age to understand but it to be magical for him. Have fun on christmas day, no doubt he will want to play with the boxes more than whats inside  I hope orangising santa isnt too difficult...

Yep I will see how I feel. I am in conact with one member of the church (the one I am going with tonight) and I know they will be just the same as when I left them but its always worrying. I kinda fell into the church, this will sound so weird but its actually the church my dad's affair attended. Yes the church community is one I love, I used to go away at weekends etc to conferances/bible studys etc and I used to dread coming home, because it wouldnt be the same :o Home-life is good, well on the good days. I tend to just keep myself to myself as much as possible now. I am hoping in the new year I can get a full-time job or another part-time job on top of this one which may mean I can save and then leave home

Yep defianlty phone them, they wont mind. Oh yes dont overpay, I would imagine getting the extra thats been overpayed back will be a nightmare

Keep in touch, and keep plodding :A
  • Ok mini update on the ebay front, my bidder/buyer now cant 'afford' to pay for the console  So I am chasing ebay for the fees (£8) back and I have offered it to the second highest bidder. I am not holding out hope though because if it was an intended christmas gift they would have brought another by now. In which case it will be relisted in the new year  I have however transfered £85 out for my debt. I am not going to take the postage 'owed' to me out of this lot but I will be taking the £18 fees ebay will direct debit out of my bank account. This means I will have £67 towards Argos, not as much as I had hoped but there you go

Rog, Trundle is a lot harder, best to plod ;) Hope you have fab christmas and your grandson enjoys himself :D

Thanks, PaP - 'trundling' has certainly been very difficult these last few days - most roads around here remain untreated  and the biggest problem has been that the 'snow' has settled on ice, so you simply can not see the ice. ASDA home delivery vans are not the best in difficult conditions - one driver was stuck in a ditch for nearly two hours the other night. Still we 'trundle' on.
Anyway - I've now finished (barring phone calls) for Christmas. Back at work on Sunday though.
It's Jack's first Christmas - they are coming to us for Christmas lunch - he's already fascinated by the tree lights and 'knows' that something is happening - bless him.
So have a great Christmas, PaP and everybody:
