well well well guess who has just phoned me up! YES INDEX.... telling me i will get refunded for the usb cards and then receive my 2 printers on monday lets wait and see eh!!!!! by the way i have already returned the usb cards but they only ever refunded me for one

I only know this because i received my printer today, not tommorrow as arranged with index but never the less i have it.
it is not however a photosmart 7260 it is a photosmart 7450 seems to be a better model if not it is of equal stature i done a search on kelkoo and found a store with both printers and done a compare.

wow the 7450 is a MUCH better printer......they are 79.99 normally.......i got 3 as part of the argos hp m407 digi camera and hp 7450 printer 99.99 deal.....

apparently the number to quote when you query this is 340 then it goes straight to that department who is dealing with the people who ordered printers, if there is anyone out there trying to pull a fast one saying they ordered printers when they didnt its not worth it you wont get one as they are going through the orders and letters that were sent out, but for those who did when you ring quote that no. 340 cos thats what a lass said last night who rang me you will only get somewhere if you quote it

I returned my USB sticks immediately and got a full refund within days. Then got the letter, and got an email yesterday telling me to call them and quote 340.
Called this morning, 5 minutes on hold, then they took my number and called me back 20 minutes later.
They asked me to confirm I ordered 1 printer - said no, I ordered 2. Put on hold while they checked, then came back and said I had ordered 2.
Took my credit card number and delivery is on 23rd!
Fantastic. But I never asked which printer I was getting, so it'll be interesting to see what arrives.:D
So it looks like they are checking those people who call to ensure you are entitled to this offer, so wouldn't bother trying it on.

Ermmmm,not sure I agree with you about it being a much better printer???
Looking at the tech specs for both printers they are pretty much the same both for the 7260 and the 7450....
My two printers were due to arrive tomorrow (Friday) but they've just turned up today at work.I can confirm that they are the 7450's so at a guess, anybody that's NOT received their printers already will more than likely be getting the 7450's and not the 7260's!!

Just waiting on my Dell now lol

I popped into Index while I was out today to see if I could get my refund without having to wait for the usb pick up etc.

Anyway bloke was willing to do it but I had to persuade him I was to get the p&p part refunded too.

Obviously not his fault as he wasn't aware of the situation, but I'm glad I'd taken along the letter from HO and my emails.

Did get the full refund ok in the end, so now I only have to wait in for one day next week instead of two!

Incidentally.....lady on phone actually stated the model that was to be sent out to me was the 7260 but I'm wondering if her screen would still say that even if a different model number was listed.

Boots still sell the 7260 instore for £79.99.....spotted it today.

To anyone thats worried that they wont receive their printer because theyve already returned the USB stick.....I returned my USB stick a while ago, got `the` letter a few days after, got `the` email yesterday, rang them today, was told that they can confirm that ive returned the stick & my printer will be with me next Tuesday.

Just want to thank the original poster whoop-dee-doo & all that wouldnt let this drop. THANK YOU

Got it as part of the argos hp m407 digital camera deal. Paper has a habit of not printing straight...so text or photo is not square on it ..returned it for a lexmark 1180 all in one ...a better printer and £20 cheaper as well.

Or, £40 more expensive than this grab it! Know what you mean though, not brilliant are they. I think the 7450 is only a cosmetically more 'up to date' version of the 7260.

Sensible move Aliasojo, I was also told that I could get a refund instore, so will do that to save waiting in all day/chasing up a refund.
