I didn't manage to order any "printers" but if I did and these were delivered to me I would have been furious. The offer clearly showed the printer and everything about it at a price of £19.99 - there was no mention of a USB stick.

Fight for your right people! Just like the Gamecube kerfuffel, if you all complain they will have to do something.

    Good luck!

    Josh :)

have been ringing them with no luck 0870 been on hold now for over 10mins does anybody know another no.
  • Just refused delievery of a very small package that certainly wasn't a printer! Just called CS and sorted out my refund. I cant be bothered with fighting for this one as the printer wasn't for me anyway.
WH Smith is the focus of my attention at the mo! ::)

I received the databar just now.
I have emailed Index through their link on the website.
I did try ringing just now but got put in a queue.
I pleaded ignorance on the website error.

I have been sent the wrong item.
Instead of the printer I received a usb databar.
Please could you arrange delivery of my printer as soon as possible as it is needed urgently.
And also could you arrange that the printer is delivered on the same day as collection of the usb databar to prevent me having to wait in on 2 separate occasions
    Yours sincerely

Don't know what response I'll get.

When you fill in the email form on the website it asks for the date that the item was ordered but only gives the year option up to 2004
  • Think maybe 08457 592143. Someone called Jennifer called me and asked me to call her back on that number. It's a cheaper call rate also

What I find really amusing is that they don't seem to be admitting that they have made a mistake - Elton was right wasn't he? Sorry, seems to be the hardest word!

    A big D'OH! for Index!

  • LOL, that's the thing, you can ask, but do they have to give!!!

    Lol?

Yes they do as taking money from your account is formation of a contract.....so they have to provide the said printer or an equivelant as agreed with the customer or give the option to the customer to cancel....but they must get agreement from the customer to cancel.

i received an email that they were out of stock anyway but i cant believe that Index are stupid enough to send a usb item that clearly wasnt 99.99 beforehand!!! Thats disgraceful and they cant plead innocence...if anything that would make me more determined to get the item!!!!

    good luck people!
