Just had to read this thread this morning .
Its like one of them stalls on a market "whos prepared to give me TEN pounds for as bargain" Nice stereos , cd s... oooh and printers etc on front of stall . You end up with a bag with some cheap glasses in it ..... or a tiny usb thingy ;D ..... Can I claim loss of earnings from index, reading this is stopping me working.

Trading Standards advise that if you have email with details listed and money has been taken then contract has been formed and you are entitled to printer or if this isn't available, you can ask for a different printer of similar spec to be supplied.

LOL, that's the thing, you can ask, but do they have to give!!!

If anyone wants printed evidence the catalogues are still available instore. printer is on page 362, as shown in Big kisses post, (reply #150 this thread). That is in the photgraphic section and is the one ordered 110-085.

The other in the computer section is 110-185, the same printer for £89. Both are shown as sold out, (damage limitation) watch this space

Well I got bored for five minutes at work, so I banged out a short and snappy email asking for confirmation of what exactley I will recieve.

Like many others, If im lucky then great ;D If I get the unlucky straw then I will simply mention "breach of contract" and send it back. I will not be paying for any returns.

Incidently I sent the mail to queries@index.co.uk and Jeanette.Clennell@index.co.uk as she was the person that signed the acknowledgement email.
