Oh what a day! I feel like I'm trying to keep afloat in quicksand. I've just managed to get a few jobs done, like hanging some washing out, putting some in the dryer, unloading the dishwasher etc. I made a jelly for DD as her throat is so sore from throwing up.
Now I've had a call from the hospital to ask if I was coming in as Mum has now come down with the bug and has had to be put in a sideward. She's getting so distressed by it all the staff nurse rang me to check I would be in to see her. I've just had to ring eldest DD to ask if she can come and babysit tomorrow so I can go in again.
I'm so tired I feel like a zombie, plenty of caffeine for me I think.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

((((Hugs))))) for you moggins. I know it's almost impossible, but please do try to look after yourself at the mo as well. Is there any chance you could organise a visiting roster so that you don't have to go to the hospital so often? I know you probably feel that you should be there, but as you said yourself - your daughter needs you most. Perhaps some of your mums friends might like to visit? I don't know your exact circumstances, but perhaps there are a few friends that may find it difficult to get to the hospital that would be only to pleased to visit if you could arrange lifts for them? Depends really on distance of hospital/friends etc I know, but just a thought that might help.

Thanks everyone, but unfortunately the rest of the family are worse than useless. Apparently my sister was supposed to be taking my Dad in today and just never turned up to pick him up. My other sister only goes to see Mum when she wants something and I don't really know any of my mums friends as she only sees them at skittles (Dad has never liked anyone coming into the house). So I'm a bit stuffed really. I just have to keep going but I'm so tired I'm suffering from dizzy spells.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Oh moggins. I know it sounds silly, but why don't you run the bath, grab a good book, get a cuppa and relax? Just a very little bit of "me time" can at least help you unwind a little bit.
My mum has been through far too many hospital visits recently - my dad back in February, then he went back in a week after coming out for a week! (if you understand that) Then 3 weeks later, my grandpa (her dad) went into hospital for 3 weeks. She's an only child so was doing just as much as you are doing. Needless to say, my dad was worse than useless. However, she did just as I suggested to try to relax.
Take care, and we're all here for you.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
(((Hugs))) Moggins.
I can understand your predicament but you also need to look after your own health but I understand the 'guilt' but you will be no good to anyone if you get ill. My Nan lays unbelievable guilt trips on everyone in the family & it really is hard.
Myself - not had bad day but am going to bed in a min to watch a bit of telly and get an early night. Have got to pop into a clients tomm so need to be up early and be organised.
Today have done some urgent invoicing and spoke to a friend who is desp for a little extra money and I have a really boring input job (for my year end accounts that are normally done by now) so we have decided she is going to work a few hours for me over the next couple of weeks, so now she's happier as am I.
Finished all my ironing and altho washing isnt completely done its under control. Will do a load in the morning before I go out and if the weather is nice will get another one done as well.
House has been hoovered but really need to clean bathrooms tomm.
Non os tea though - bought some pizza's that were on special at Asda - need to think of something quick to do tomm because of the football, then when thats finished have got a meeting at DD's senior school as she leaves Junior school soon and need to know how everything works when she goes to 'big' school - really hope it doesnt go on too long though.
Well off to watch some Cold Case now, probably wont be awake for the end though - have a lovely evening all.0 -

Prepare to be shocked - I received some good news today. Ok, not about me, but made me happy. Two friends I introduced 9 years ago have just got engaged. As a matchmaker I'm fantastic!!! This goes with my other two friends I introduced 3 years ago who are now married with child on the way. Maybe I need to try my talents on myself? Gives me hope
