Hi
Hugs to all who need them:grouphug:
OH on nights again at the mo. We only got back from holiday on Saturday. Have realised how far my memory has gone as could not remember places we had visited within a few hours:eek: From what I can remember with OH's help we seem to have had a good time.
Went to hosp today again to visit Mom ( she has been in 11 weeks on thursday). They still don't seem to be able to tell us what is wrong. She is very confused (today she was crying because someone who was expecting three babies had died - turned out that she meant the patient in the next bed to her, who is roughly 78 & she was happily sitting up in bed eating her meal) She is definitely in what we call Winnie's World at the mo- which is fine most of the time as she seems quite content, she cheered up once she saw that the lady was OK.
Am due to go into rehab hosp next Monday to see what they can do to help. This will be difficult for OH as he works full-time & wants to visit both Mom & me, but there will be days when due to shifts as a nurse he won't be able to do either.
It is pouring down with rain just now ( which I must admit the garden definitely needs).
I won't be going to sleep until OH gets in at about 8.30 tomorrow as I can't get out of bed safely without his help. When I get out of hosp again we are getting quotes for the stair-lift as I don't think I can put it off any longer:o
Oh well I will go & watch a bit of rubbish TV for a while
Bye for nowLove to save & love a bargain0 -
(((((hugs))))) Scruffy. My Mum had dementia with parkinsons in her last years so I know how hard this is for you. We expect our Mums to always be there and to never change and it's heartbreaking when they do! Mum thought she was back nursing in the war while she was on the ward which caused some problems with the other patients!
Glad you had a good time on holiday, I too have some probs with memory (cfs) and need to be reminded by OH where we have been  thank goodness he is such a patient soul!
Hope you get the stairlift sorted out soon as it will improve your life a bit.
Take care

:hello: Gooooood Morning OS'ers
Been a very busy bee the past few days and our menagerie is growingHave a adopted 3 quails, 2 females and a male. They reach maturity in a couple of weeks so (hopefully!) we can add quail eggs to our menu plans  They are soooo pretty and very entertaining to watch
The lads have suggested breeding them, but that is a firm no-no!!
Have had some fun testing bread machine cake making; Treacle, Date and Walnut (ooh that was rich!) and yesterday, made a Madeira Cake for the lunchboxesVery nice too!!
Have a meeting at d10yo new school tonight and the opportunity to purchase his games kits; they can only be purchased through the school PE Dept but no problem, been saving for the uniforms knowing that he was changing schools in September anyway. He'll find out which form he's going into and if he'll be studying the same languages as his dbro, which he hopes to do so they can chat together in the hope I won't understand them :rotfl: It's funny how each of the lads has seemed to "outgrow" their Junior School by the time the 11+ has been taken, he is soooo looking forward to moving in September. I'm quite excited for him too because it's a lovely school and he's very fortunate to get the school of his choice. My heart goes out to those who faced disappointment, appeals and in some cases, further disappointment in their choices.
Car goes in for MOT today and if all goes well, fingers X'd, I can renew the tax at the end of the week - it's an expensive week!
My friends operation seems to have gone very well and we're hoping she'll be home soon. Can't wait to find out her reaction to the gardening we did on Sunday; successfully cleared an area near the patio which didn't look so big before we cleared it, but it's quite large now it's cleared! I took a chilli along and put it in their SC to finish off while we worked and after being stung all up my arms by nettles and juniper, it was lovely to have something ready to eat.
So, to do list looks something like this:
Clean out/feed quails/chook
Feed family/furbaby
Locate paperwork for car, take for mot
Iron the 2 wash loads from yesterday
Phone library, renew books
Make jelly
Make yogurt
Put loaf in BM
Chicken meal into SC
20 min whip round
Attend evening meeting and avoid yawning
Purchase games/pe kits
Convert some of my fav CD's to mp3's
B: Yogurt with fruit and oat topping
L: cheese and salad sandwiches with madeira and fruitSC Chicken
Have a wicked Wednesday (), OS'ers

Have a thrify Tuesay, OS'ers
Yup....except according to my records its Wednesday. Don't think I could cope if it was still Tuesday.
Feeling knackered today (nothing unusual there). We did sit down and work out a plan for the summer hols with the girls last night. Took ages as we didn't have a clue what we should do. But we think we have got there. Have got 2 trips that will be paid for with clubcard vouchers, a good evening out paid for with clubcard vouchers, and a couple of free trips that will just cost the diesel to get there. So we do have some flexibility in there if we need it.
Just need to check with the girls now that there are no complaints. Which I'm sure there will be. I just hope we've got something for everyone in there. My 'allocation' of days is going to be spent relaxing and maybe going round the sales. After rushing around like a lunatic for 3 days on the trot I'm going to need it.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -

Morning Queenie, morning racchdap1, morning everyone to follow
Well, I have nothing even as half as interesting as Queenie to report or under planning! It's just another w*** day - the OS day doesn't really begin until I get home after 5.00 pm. These past few days my nerves have been totally frazzled so I've been getting into bed almost as soon as getting home in the evening. That isn't exactly conducive to Old Styling I know, but I am feeling much better today, so maybe I will achieve something tonight.
Think I will go and lie down again for half an hour, don't leave for w*** until 8.30 am and i really can't be bothered with anything!
Bye all, have a fab Wednesday (including you Queenie, though you seem to have some sort of bias for Tuesdays!).

Queenie i know all abt the school uniform thingy. My dd is going up to secondary school sept and the uniform is costing a arm and leg. She has her induction day on tuesday 4th so we have to travel to aylesbury for her to do this and she is so excited abt seeing her classmates for the first time.
today ive a appointment with the asthma nurse this appointment kept being changed for one reason or another but they insist i must have a review, could be dead and buried at the rate they got me in lol..
cleaning out kitchen cupboards ahead of me moving, were does all this stuff come from, why do we stick it in a cupboard and hope that one day we might need it when infact we forget we got it and buy another.. need to get ruthless.
catch you all laters

Morning.
Thanks for the clarification what day it is. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Rchdapp - still not feeling more energetic? I keep going through peaks and troughs.
Queenie - do you want to come and do my garden too? That was a very kind gesture and i'm sure your friend will appreciate it.
I've decided to go back into work today. I'm a bit better, and as it is the day the year 6 kids cometo visit, i didn't want to let anyone down. I only have one official lesson today but i bet i get a cover. I have a to-do list that is a page long in my academic diary (A4) each job should take an hour or more, and i did zilch yesterday. Here's hoping the rest has inspired me slightly.
I need to pick up my brothers coursework so he can do some while off with his tonsils, which means i can also visit and see the things my sister and mum have bought me for the baby. I feel bad that they keep doing this as i'm sure i don't need quite as much stuff, and DH's parents have yet to start. It is beginning to feel tense as they all want to help.
Oh well - best go and make the packed lunches. Have a good day wherever you are.

Morning Queenie, rchddap1 and all to follow:D
Slept well last night, which im very happy about. No hospital today but at pschotherapy (sp) early afternoon:eek:
WM has been on and OH will be hanging out in a minute. DW needs emptying and toilet has been cleaned. SIL is here today to do a few jobs and the ironing.
Have booked up a hair appointment for DD & I for 4pm today. When I had my free hair cut quite a few weeks back, the hairdresser gave me a voucher for 50% off for me and a friend. So I called yesterday and asked if 11yr DD could come and she said thts fine. So we're both having a wash, massage, cut and blowdry for £20...bargain!! Also, the steam generator is playing up again so OH will be taking that back when DD & I are getting mullets done;)
Queenie-I have the Parents evening tomorrow and DD too is very lucky to get into her school (only one in her current school to be accepted), but am really nervous about itAny pointers? We've been told its about 2hrs long. Also the sizing is done in cm's isnt it now there bigger-not ages. What measurements will I need from Charlie?
BargainRzl-I think your correct in saying that it is a confidence thing with me. Im a pretty outgoing person, but I havent been in an enviroment like this since working last year and that was without the wheels:rotfl: Anyway, what Ive decided is to (1)Have dyed my hair a deep red colour.(2)Having a good haircut crop short, choppy and funky.(3)Wearing a business style outfit-Fitted shirt and a skirt:eek:   (4)Will try and use my crutches and OH will get wheels if needed-can park right outside with the badge.(5)Take my Louis Vuitton faithful Alma bag my mum bought me and stick the matching notebook in there-then if theres nothing to talk about, you can talk about designer bags and shoes...right Nelski, BRZ and TM:rolleyes:
Anyway, Id best go and will catch up later.
Breakie:Cornflakes
Lunch:Chicken, salad roll
Dinner: HM Fishpie & Veg
Hugs to all.
