Bliss!!!
For the first day in weeks I am alone in the house !!!!:j
Trying to iron all my clothes in the washing basket. Did DH's shirts yesterday - 18 of them! He watched me starch them, waited till I had finished and then announced smugly that he did not like it when I starched them. He is lucky he did not end up with the iron stuck in  his mouth!!!
Once I have done my stuff then there is a huge pile of bedding to do.
I refuse to iron all DD's (12) clothes because once I have exhausted myself she will decide half of them do not fit - I am sick of playing that game.
Managed to cut all the hair that was wrapped arounf the hooover brush off and dispose of it!
Sometimes I think we have the Yeti in this house!!!! judging by the amount of hair I find.
Hugs to all - we saw my dad in the hospice (we go every day) and he still looks frail but more secure if you know what I mean."This site is addictive!"

Morning all.......(((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))) to those who need them.....
Well last night I found flights to Paris for 3 nights for £106 and a hotel, although waiting for confimation of booking for £151.50........ airport 20 minutes up the motorway, parking £19.50..... so booked it, the way we had been thinking about was to drive to Ashford (could not get decent fares on the train the days we wanted) stay overnight and trot off on the train..... all in all we have saved £90 by flying, we have flown before and know the gen about getting from the airport into the City and the Gard du Nord is just 600 metres from the station. So subject to confirmation its booked!!!!! I have the cash in my holiday fund and paid with CC so will get 277 points towards my Christmas grocery shop, with the car service and the shop I have just done I will have about £30 to come in vouchers in August which takes my total up to £60 so far this year, almost a months grocery shop.........
OH playing in a bowls match this morning so bedrooms to be cleaned, out after lunch for an hour or so........... ironing tomorrow morning. Need to put the yoghurt maker on tonight for more yoghurt, when I bought it only OH ate it, but since I have been making the greek style we are both having some every day at lunch time with fruit chopped into it, its delicious with chopped banana and brown sugar.
PP: I hope your meeting goes well tomorrow night, I am sure the scrimping to pay for uniform will be well worth it, getting children into good schools is worth every penny it costs.
Queenie: love quils eggs, we have a lady who comes to the local market, she sells them, they are delicious with a little mayo on them.........
Jo's mum: glad you got a better nights sleep with the little one.
Rtz: have a great time on your jaunt, keep us up to speed.......
One thing yesterdays visit to the flat from hell has done is concentrate my mind on getting rid of a load of junk thats in the attic, stuff we have shoved up there out of the way.... i.e. OH's collection of model cars, pictures we no longer like or have wall room for etc.... so on Friday I am going up the loft and getting all the stuff down, we will do a boot sale either this Sunday or next depending on how well I get on sorting the stuff out and pricing it.
I am off for a srcond cup of caffine before I tackle the bedroom......

Hello!
I am back from my hols!
Had a fab time in cornwall!
Back to the grindstone now though.
DW emptied. 2 loads of washing out & another in the machine.
Need to strip the beds as well.
Got the dentist this afternoon. Its NHS luckily.
All this talk of schools, my ds starts school in September. He is my baby & I can't imagine him in school. The uniform is expensive esp as my DD has grown out of hers so needs all new (its lasted 2 years!) & cos she is a girl I can't pass her stuff down to ds! Most of its very tatty now anyway.
Hope everyone is well

Morning each,
I finally got round to finishing my second swimming costume Monday as it was raining(so no gardening). Then I did major surgery on my sewing machine as I have 2 attatchment feet that fit an old singer but not mine. I drilled a hole higher up the bit where the feet screw in and tra dah ! now I can use some more feet. A ruffler and a binder ,they are quite tricky to use but i think you have to get the hang of them.
This morning i've been out in the garden putting wire over the new carrot bed as the cats think Im a very kind lady who digs them huge litter trays.
The BM is nearly done , the yoghurt is in the yog maker flask .
Im thinking i might buy a carpet sweeper, the kind you just push around ,as our living room gets quite bitty what with being the thoroughfare to the garden and kitchen . Either that or get down on hands and knees with a dustpan and brush.
Talking of secret languages...My daughter and I learnt shorthand as she was so interested in codes and languages it's very handy when you want to send secret messages right infront of someone or for your diary or christmas shopping list.
DS has just come in (he has to go to school just to answer the morning register on days when he has no lesson:mad: Leaving the house at 6.50 am and only just home!! Stupid red tape ,if he doesn't register every day ,he misses an EMA payment.
Bye For Now

Morning all, so happy to be off today.
Queenie, your quails sound lovely, I've never had quail eggs but they will no doubt soon be featuring as a reular part of your diet
PP- Your plans for a funky new hairstyle sound great, it's amazing what a confidence boost a new hairstyle can give.
I have just written out my to do list, its looking lovely outside so I've put my bedding in the WM. I had to bleach a few patches on the sheet first, yuck I hate the smell of bleach and the way it makes my throat go dry but needs must.
I need to take my library books back and pick up reservations.
I have been so lazy about the hoovering lately and haven't done it for ages, the last time I used the hoover it smelled really weird, musty and damp, maybe something was stuck inside it? I'm useless with the hoover though, I can't even empty the cylinder bit and put it back together so I won't try to find what it is- will have to leave to OH. I know, I know I'm terrible and I must learn how!
I realised we have been eating far too much junk lately so have started cooking decent meals again. May wander to co-op later to buy some meat for tonight.
I have some work to do for my course which starts in September as well.
Have a good day all,
Sarah xYesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0 -

Being very lazy today (still in pj's:eek: ) My neck is much better today thanks to the heat pad Aussie lass suggested, Thank you Aussie Lass!
I listed some books on Amazon for the first time ever and it was easier than I expected, I read most of the posts by Apprentice Tycoon (Thank you AT) and now want to go through the house to find some more books to go.
Breakfast this morning was very naughty, Choc weetabix brownie and a slice of weetabix cake! Shez you really must try it, very delish and easy to make.
Bgn Rzl have a great time with Nelski and TM, hope you get some bargains and try to forget all about w*** for a while.

Morning all
You all sound very busy this morning which is exactly what I should be but hey reading this is so much more exciting!
Update on my super jet powered flying yesterdaymmm well lets put it this way - if Rzl decides to open any cupboards she may be killed by falling debris and hopefully she wont lift the rugs or the dust may well escape:D
Have decided not to cook cos TM is far far better at it than me and will clearly show me up when we go for curry tomorrow night - so I will do what I do best - take her to the pub!!
Actually we are going to head over to the Trafford centre where we can shop and maybe grab some sushi at selfridges ( I reckon thatll be posh enough for our rzl:D )then back to the pub later for an opportunity for her to meet some Warringtononians!!
Cheshire Oaks tomorrow for some bargain hunting then its over to TM for the agenda from then on!
So I should (no let me change that language) I will:
have a 15 min break for a think
Quick hoover downstairs
15 min break
Kitchen floor sweep
15 min break after all that effort
Mow the lawn
clearly will need a 15 min break now:D
Go to asda for wine and milk (best get some bread in as well I suppose)
15 min break and...........ooops pick up rzl from the station!!
So much rest needed and so little time:eek:
Have a great day all and we will report back soon with our current handbag and shoe count:D0
