Hello all
2nd attempt to post. Did a lovely long and happy message just before tea, which DS2 managed to wipe just before I posted. Things have gone downhill from there.
Not too much OS today - general cleaning etc, DW, BM and SC have been on today. However, I went for something called "The Bowen Technique" earlier - my back has been playing me up something rotten this past couple of weeks and I got a flyer through the door last night for a local therapist. Got an appointment this morning and thought I'd see what it was all about (it's holistic rather than hands on massage) Was very weird and I thought hadn't done anything but got back in the car and realised I could look over my shoulder properly, my back feels looser and all in all I feel great (albeit tired now) I have another appointment for next monday morning
However, after the teatime rush, things have gone from bad to worse. DS2 is over tired and a horror, which culminated in him drawing blue crayon all over my living room carpet. He has now had ALL his drawing stuff removed from him for a week. Then, DS1 was found with his hands down the loo  - he has been scrubbed with hot water, dettol and a really rough flannel. Boys!! Eurgh!!
So, I'm sat her with a very large voddy and tonic, I aim to do very little tonight, other than go to sleep quite early. Have to get up and go to mum's tomorrow morning to take her round insurance approved carpet shops to find a replacement bedroom carpet, take her to the doctors etc. and do any cleaning/odd jobs that are required.
Hope you all have/had a good day. Sorry I haven't read everyone's posts yet - I'll try to do it before I go to bed.

Hello e'one.
Just a quicky here this morning as I have to be out the house in an hr.Had brekky & put the washing out on the line. Need to clean up & make myself presentable. That's what takes the time.

PP Glad the hospital visit went well and good luck with the hair dye. I hope your's turn out better than mine.
Tootles What a bummer. You would have hated it there.
Roz I'm still studying the field.:D
Hope you have a sound sleep. Anybody seen Snowy? Hopes she's ok.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Oh Keren it is so horrible that things like this happen.
I work in a jewellery store and often deal with insurance claims where people have had irreplacable items stolen, often whilst they were in the house. In fact i had a couple in this evening who had woken up to find a burglar in their room - the guy just picked up her jewellery box and legged itthe sad thing was she never used to keep anything in the box - she'd only the day before had a big clearout and moved all of the jewellery her husband had bought her, and that which had been left to her by her mother and her nana, into this one box
She decided in the end just to buy a huge diamond ring and a lovely pendant as nothing that was stolen could ever be replaced
My job really makes me lose faith in human nature sometimes

Been working all day until 5pm but working from home tomorrow so making use of being able to nip out and run a few errands such as collect a couple of prescriptions, pay council tax and post a couple of parcels. Was going to start my work reports this evening to get a head start for tomorrow but enfed up browing Ebay and MSE as usual. Naughty I know..
However I did managed to get our toddler settled in bed (next to me and not cot I'm afraid), write out a card and wrap up presents for a friends newborn baby (so ready for when I go and visit) and write out a birthday card and wrap up more presents for a friend (to be posted tomorrow). Packaged up an Ebay item I sold to be posted tomorrow. Left some Ebay feedback. Hung up some washing I had done but left in the washing machine from last night. Replied to a few e-mails and that's it so far.
Hope to get loads done tomorrow.

Yummy, yummy, yummy. I definitely recommend them. They are so easy to make.
I cut them into small squares, so when I had two I could tell myself that it was really only one larger one that I'd eaten, not two! :rotfl:
Right, I'm off to bed now.
Will catch up with everyone tomorrow.
Night night
