Well, we bought a new build in Nashville. It's a fantastic house, 5 bed 3500 square foot in an exclusive little development. The builder has kept one of the houses to live in, which I thought was a good sign. We paid the grand sum of $275,000 which with closing costs came to under £140,000.

As I have said we let friends of ours who had recently moved over there rent it and have agreed that we will sell it to them for what we paid. I think we pretty much bought at the bottom for the area anyway, either that or prices have just held pretty steady in that part of town. That said, not a lot seems to be selling. But as we weren't wanting to sell that was never an issue. I'm only selling because our friends love the house so much and am doing them a favour really. We can't move there right now so we may as well.

Just popping in to say hi. Sorry to hear about the loan & CT :( Yu're in good company though but can imagine how gutting it feels that the spawn of satan still has the opportunity to duck up your life even when hes not there ...such a shame with the "what goes around" theory that were not here to see it eh!!

Ta ISOF :) It was a lovely day so all is good. I worried like mad tho!
I would tell Obi not to worry but honestly I don't think it'll do any good as I got told not to worry and I still did (in fact I got sick of hearing "don't worry"!)...
Have to say last few weeks I've really been miserable at work - other peoples inability to do their jobs whilst I'm the one in the firing line can become VERY depressing...
Maybe we should have an online hen night for Obi? As we're what? 19 nights from the big day? ;)

My hen night is shaping up to be a night at Gala bingo, with possibly an indian, or pizza beforehand. Best mate refuses to come to bingo, but I enjoy going, so nuts to her.

Hope your day was better, Mrs T. Sounding a mite depressed, my chick. Just look at heose beautiful wedding pics, and repeat after me 'I'm gorgeous, I rock, and it isn't my fault if I work with a bunch of muppets who make the Government look efficient.'

Today was a very odd day. Went to doc about my weird itchy rash hand thing. Apparently it's a viral thing, not much I can, say Dr, breezing out as if I'm then going to say 'oh, well, if it's VIRAL then hey ho.'. The itchiness wakes me up at 3am to have a darn good scrath. Have you ever tried scratching the webs bewtween your fingers? Impossible. Hasn't stopped me trying though - it's that horrible burning itch that tells your brain you'll go mad if you don't scratch it. But they gave me some tablets to stop the itch. Dandy, except it set off the hayfever............

Broke practically every nail I have scratching, so am going to have to invest in falsies for the big day. Am going to paint the warhammer Choas symbol on the ring one (OH is a warhammer geek, as well as employee - annoying becasue it's against compnay policy to sell anything he's bought there, and that cupbaord is prime Ebay fodder....must...resist.....). So now just looking for a mega cheap veil, tiara and shoes. Any ideas for places other than Ebay to look?

Took DD into nursery and got the bits I needed, you know, glamorous things like a new toilet flush. Son has the unfortunate side effect of attracting every female within a 30 foot radius - great when you need an assistant, but you then have to prise them away from Ash and his mega-watt smile in order to get them to help you. But then again, I can see why (warning, proud mum photo coming up)

    ?action=view&current=Ashapprox5monthsold.jpg

So not a bad day, managed to pay an extra 14 quid off my smally debts, before the 'official' start at the end of the month - no point starting right now, as with wedding coming up it'll all go b00bies up and don't want to be in a muddle before I even start. So feeling good aboout that - my Asda shop came to less than the computer screen said as well, so kerching there too.

Tomorrow we're off to the Lincoln Show, we both love it, once you get past the WI tents. Cheesy, but true. Just finished baking some homemade sausage rolls for the picnic, however gone to do the sandwiches and found you could brain someone with it, and no time to make more (not getting up at midnight to take it out!) so will be sorting out the fillings tonight and buying a packet of tortilla wraps on th way to the train station in the morning. Would make them, but not confident enough on my ability to make dough at 10.30pm after a round of drowsy-inducing viral handy lurgy tablets. So just off to book the train tickets (late, but only just twigged I haven't done it lol).

I hope you all had lovely, cheap days, and didn't have to battle old women, Evil Gym Bunnies or ex husbands that make you want to yank your own head off and throw it at him.

Tip for today - look at what you bought this week grocery-wise. Are there any items you could 'downgrade' next week to the supermarket's own brand? Be concious of branded stuff you buy 'because you always have'. Next week buy the own brand megacheap no frills stuff instead. If family are fussy, simply decant it inot the posh box/jar and see if they notice.

Yeah, I'd love the receipe - I have a quick setting on bread maker, but only for white, and it seems to hate every recipe I try in it.

Yup, that's the dress - and I forgot to tell you all - It's COMING TOMORROW!!!!! ...But I'm at the show.....bit late, but lady in Durham has been in hospital. She's sorry it's late, and is sending me a 'free gift' to apologise - what's the chances it'll be a free ivory veil with sparkly bits, cream shoes that aren't eyebleedly ugly and a tiara?

Here you go - this was the defining recipe for flogging my BM cos its SO easy & yummy! Let me know what you think! I chuck a few sunflower seeds in mine too!! I also have one for potato bread which is a bit like crumpets in texture & white if you want it but think I psoted that on o/s recipe thread...I may be turning into an old domesticated fart but I love the readers digest recipes - they all work lol!
Love the dress and you never know you may just get a freebie tiara! Fingers crossed & keep us posted!!!
Quick wholemeal bread (Readers digest recipe)
(makes loaf – approx 14 slice)

450g/1 Ibs strong wholemeal bread flour
    1 tsp salt
2 tsp easy blend dried yeast
1 tsp light mucadavo sugar or clear honey
    450ml/15fl oz tepid water
1 tsp plain white four to dust
    * 2 -3 tablespoons sunflower seeds if you want extra nuttiness!

Lighty grease 2ib loaf tin and set aside while making bread.
Sift flour salt & yeast into large bowl – tipping any extra unseived bran in and make a well in the centre.
Stir honey or sugar into tepid water and then add this mix to the flour. I mix it in with my hand (take any rngs off first or it gets everywhere!!) for approx 2 mins until it comes away from the sides adding a bit of flour if its too sticky but it should be quite sticky anyway! *At this stage add sunflower seeds etc if you want to!
Put dough into the tin & cover for approx 30 mins – should rise to top of tin.
Sprinkle white flour on top for effect (I often forget & it still looks good!)
    Preheat oven to 200C/400F/GM 6
Place tin in oven & cook for 30-40 mins – should tap hollow when done. You can return this to the oven for 5 mins if you want crispy sides! Place on baking rack & cool with cloth over it! Eat & enjoy! It really is easy peasy lemon squeezy & has a nice texture!
