Cheers for the support Bob, feeling a bit miffed off. The original charge was £800!!! We already paid £300, including various searches and we had a lot of additional work as the mortgage people required extra searchs, tehn the environmental came back with a problem...all requiring solicitor's attention, so it's probably not that bad. It's the bl**dy principal of the thing.
Fish and chips for the informal lunch, but have now discoverd MIL has ordered personalised napkins and placecards for this, so far from being a quiet bite to eat with family it's getting to the point where I might need to take the fish suppers out of the paper lol, and put a sprig of parsly on...
With this amount of debt we really can't afford anything now, but are planning on going to Florida in 2010, so that will be a late honeymoon. So I'm planning lts of little things for the week off we've got, as DD will be in nursery. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

lol, cheers for the offer Mrs T. Apparently our local Boyes is having a sale on them, and as they're supercheap anyway, will have a mooch on down if weather holds up. How's you lady?
So here we go, all over again, though hpefully mortgage people will do the right thing and pay the soliitors bill, after all, they admit it was their fault. Going to get my m oneymaking head on this week and see what the old noggin comes up with. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. Just wondering on wether to humour some of the strange people on ebay and list used slippers and smelly socks... I'm not kidding either!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Aww bless, so we could be seeing an influx of Mr T's internal organs on Ebay before too long? 'cornea, hardly used, one careful owner'.
Today DD has taken it into her head that she's 15 not 3 and is showing the appropriate levels of 'attitood'. She's currently in time-out to avoid being thrown out of the window. Such a nice day here, but behaviour like that is not going to win her a beach trip.
Got MIL coming over in a bit to drop off pushchair, and strim our lawn (??) - also bringing over OH's waistcoat for wedding, and DD's posy. So slowly getting to see everything.... dress should be here next week, getting very nervous! I read a story on the weddings board about a poor lass who ordered hers through the chinese lass everyone uses, opened the box and basically it's nothing like what she wanted. My heart goes out to her, and I'm hoping I don;t have the same problem. I ordered mine from a lady in Durham, £80 mre expensive than china but witht eh wedding so close I can't risk a delay, plus I'm dubious about the human rights thing in China. So watch this space for either a 'yay!' or 'OMG it makes me look like a demented serial killer'.
So today I will be mostly trying not to spend any money, friend has given me £5 to copy some dvd's for her, so that's a good start. Sorted out loads of stuff for Fleabay, and Amazon, so hopefully things will get moving. Also got a load done on my website, so feeling pretty fine! Also got a spreadsheet together, and with the cashback sites I use (and it's not that many) I'm up to £75, excluding any that are points based like pigsback. So pretty chuffed, and there was much pointing and laughing at OH who thinks I'm wasting my time.
Have a cheap day, chickies, tip for today is to get out in the sunshine - if there is any in your area today! It will trigger feel-good hormones and make you feel a wee mite better about life, money and stuff. Cheaper than Valium, just don't forget the sunblock. We want you happy, not crispy. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Cheap day plans foiled! Ended up spending £23 on pain for the house... whoooopsie!!! Oh well such things happen!
Spoke to neighbour across the road and he will tile my kitchen windowsill for me if I get the tiles as it looks pants! The builders so messed these houses up when they were built 3 years agoGrrr
We have terracotta for the kitchen, a forresty type light green to match new curtains in livingroom (bargain as were reduced to £10 in Primark and we have HUGE patio door so normally curtains don't fit... thankfully these do! Only painting one wall tho... I just wanna jazz up the Magnolia a little with a single wall in a different colour... ok ok and then I don't have to move loads of furniture to paint all the way round and ALL the decorator programs do it so I'm being fashionable alright??
Also got a light blue for downstairs loo... might tackle that room first... hmmmDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
