Will be crossing fingers for you about the house tomorrow Obi :) Let me know when you hear (and you have stopped running round like a loon celebrating!) - I have loads of stuff I ought to be ebaying but just haven't had the energy - have a horrid cough at the moment - sore throat is thankfully gone for the time being but cough remains and it's keeping me up at night (and poor DH too as he gets woken up by it! Bless him!) So tonight I am having an early night as I am exhausted! The good news I guess is that the maxi cosi easifix I wanted of amazon actually fits my car! Yay - being as I have already ordered it :rotfl:
    Whoopsie ;)

right bedtime for little pregnant ladies... :)

    Woohooo!!!

We got the house, and will be moving in t-minus 19 days. 19 days to pack our life into boxes and get shifted to the other side of town!!

Oh we rock, we really do. I was so worried that something horrible wold happen when they got my crdit file - the computer blowing up, a big warning siren or just a big red popup saying 'Deadbeat!'. Obviously it either wasn't that bad, or the landlord is happy with my explanation that is was all business related, and I had never defaulted on my rent.

So smiles all round, and tired eyes from getting ready to ebay anything not needed in the new house. So going to be really busy putting up chinese writing sets, calligraphy ink and Game Workshop limited edition staff pins.....
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

lol, sorry Bob, having to tidy the lounge after doing the Happy Dance of Joy round it.

So the Box Hunt starts, also Mammoth Ebay. List of people to notify is as long as a babboon's legwarmer and growing!

Will post later when I'm not snowed in under a pile of paperwork!

Oh yes. Most important box has the kettle, teabags, mug, uht milk & loo rolls in it.

So today my chickies, I will mostly be working - flat out seeing as the next few weeks are going to be a packing, painting & sorting whirlwind. DD has 'redecorated' some of the wallpaper, meaning it has to be ripped off and replaced with magnolia paint - not giving this guy ANY reason not to give our deposit back. We have replaced the kitchen, repainted throughout - not sure if the previous tenants were colourblind, but mauve and salmon DO NOT GO - and generally made it livable, but you know how some people are.

So, today will be making a posrk hot pot in my wonderful, lifesaving slowcooker (get one. They rock) - we're supposed to be having fabulous fish from Asda - they put it in a bag with herb butter , lemon & parsley and you just whack it in the oven. Gloriously scented fish without making the house smell like the back offices of Birdseye. But a friend of ours is coming over to pick up some cabinets, so I'm doing something a bit more filling in case he stays for dinner.

Should be a nice cheap day - have to get more school shoes for DD; her new ones got sent home as they kept falling off - major redface time, but they did fit in the shop! Honest! But a local shoeshop is having a clearout sale, so I'll just get the next size down for £5.

I have also mastered the short-row heel on my socks - knitters out there will be giving me a whoop-whoop, non knitters will be giving me puzzled looks. It's a major achievement, and I'm really pleased - first toeup, shortrow heel type I've tried, and the pattern really rocks. So easy and I'm chuffed to little mint balls.

So todays tip is to think back - have you done something recently that you're proud of? I think we tend to play down our own accomplishments - it's not socially acceptable to be proud of yourself. But be proud. You rock. And if you can't think of anything, why not make today the day you do something to make you feel proud?

My feeling proud is that I have a little ickle baby that I made all by my self in my belly :) (ok ok ok ok hubbie MIGHT have helped with a couple of cromosomes but I'm having a rotten week and for today at least she's all MY accomplishment! :D I'll share her again tonight I promise)
Having a moo day with work being horrid but have docs appointment this afternoon so will see if she'll sign me off work for a while :) or at least tell them to be nice to me! Stupid thing is I just want them to leave me alone (at home - this is the bone of contention) to do my job - but they're arguing that if I am too "ill" to come in to the office then I should be signed off sick. And being pregnant isn't a good enough reason apparently... bet doc will disagree :)
Seeing the same doc who shipped me to hospital last time I saw her and signed me off sick so they might have shot themselves in the foot - I want to do my job but at this rate they might get what they want and get me signed off sick so get NO work out of me instead of more work than normal because I am not wasting 2 hours travelling but "start" at the same time as I'd normally leave for work... *sigh* rant over ;)

awww, sorry to hear you're having a day like a post-curry bowel movement. Sounds like you just can't win! Just imagine your boss and colleagues getting a vinegar enema.....

I'm not here - you haven't seen me. I'm working. Yes, not on MSE at all. The green light is on your head.....
