*groan* anyone got an asperin or something? I think I might have a teeny hangover!
guess a bottle and a half of white wine will do that! Even fell asleep on next doors sofa for an hour last night whilst everyone else carried on playing on the Wii...
So... I need to dig out green horrible buddahs huh? hmmmmDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

You dirty stopout!
Dig out the green buddhas, the pet rocks and the half chewed mints. List the odd cutlery you seem to aquire, the chipped Smartie mugs and the melon-dibbler. Grace Ebay with your noveltly foam photoholders, your spare phone charger and those hilarious straw donkeys you brought back from Majorca.
You have these things, you know you do. Get rid of them - life's too short to give house-space to aparagus dishes and Powerpuff Girl lunchboxes. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Well much looking and turning over of furniture (not really... my back knocked me for six again *sigh* it's always SOMETHING! Doc referred me to physio today though which is something...) I haven't found a single ugly green buddha! I DID turn up 2 great egyptian wood thingie carvings - pharao heads or what you wanna call 'em in black... Do really like them but just NO room for them so have been hidden away in the loft for ages... might as well get shot.
How's you chickadee?DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

*sigh* wuld be much better my chick if I could pay someone to incapacitate anyone attached to Rossendales - had another email from them today, apparently my case has been turned over to a 'van bailiff' (who I should phone ugently on a mobile number) even though I'm still asking them for the paperwork on this 'debt'. They've point blank refused to provide me anything, and I'm getting very tired of it. I've applied to the council for it as well, and they're less use than a Kama Sutra in a nunnery. Why hasn't someone put a leash on these guys - surely it's not unreasonable to ask for some proof of a debt you've never had any papework for? Off to Citizens Advice tomorrow to see what they say about it. I'm sure there's something that says they can't enforce whilst it's being investigated.Last time I got hassle of these guys a few well placed solicitors letters made them back down and shut the hell up.
Apart from that, not a bad day - bit boring really. WTC has hit the account a day early, and a tenner more than usual, so cue much furtling of budgets to make sure nothing gets left out, as they must have re-jigged the payments again. Posted the hideous buddhas, alonf with a baby carrier and a set of Babylon 5 figures, so now casting about for more [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] unique items of great interest to those of a certain mindset (i.e. madder than a box of ferrets).
Was going to go to the gym but too knackered after wrestling the kids into the bath and then bed, and promised the Fabulous Fran, Inventor of The Fran Plan a chat, cos I've not seen her, and I missed her at the wedding. So not much going on Chez Obi.
Todays tip is to go through your CD and DVD collection. Pare it down by 5, and get them on Amazon/Ebay. You don't need 2 copies of Casablanca, and if the sun sets again with your shelf still holding 'S Club 7 - The Greatest Hits' then you need serious help. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

madder than a box of ferrets huh? Well down here it's madder than a wheeliebin full of weasels
About the council tax for the shop and associated twerps - have you tried writing your local MP and asking him/her to look into it? You'd be amazed at the miracles that can occassionally be worked if a DCA/Coincil think they are being scruitinised by their MP... Gotta be worth a crack right?
As for "bailiffs" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA *cough* right anyway... SHOULD it come to that then speak to Herbie21 on hereShe's the resident bailiff guru

Hey obi - hows it going hun? sounds ike those rossendale idiots/council tax nerds are gettin under your skin - let us know what citizens advice say as u rightly point out there must be some kind of legislation to stop them hassling you until they at least prove ownership of the debt.
Im on a right old downer - skint as i dont know what...family being a pain...hardly anyone of em speaking at the mo to me - must be me eh?
Anyhow kid, have a good one and chin up dont let the ba****ds grind u down!! xFocusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0 -
The CD's to Play.com is a good idea......OH and I *must* have some duplicates - though we tried to give away duplicates when we got married 8 years ago.......worth a try though, thanks Obi0

Well chicks, I've had a loooovely visist from Rossendales - actually it was a guy I've had before, and he's actually quite nice - providing I pay him £550 by friday  He's 'doing me a favour' by giving me a few days, cos his paperwork shows I've been told to make an offer for installments already. The bill has shot up by nearly £200 since yesterday! (I'm in the wrong business)
So I phoned the Local Govt Ombusdman and made a complaint, and they're going to deal with it on my behalf - they think there's been a mistake on the council's part, and are going to tell them to take the charges off, call off Rossendales and accept installments, plus apologise. I'll be calling them back tomorrow to make sure it's on with, not keen on another visit. Last night I couldn;t sleep, haven't really eaten anything in the last day or so, just no appetite. It's not the bailiffs that bother me - they irritate me, but I pity them more than anything - I mean, it's not like you get a lot of invites to parties, right? It's the fact that I thought it was all done with, but now if I can't get that £5k WTC overpayment that has popped up overturned as well, my total is up to £31k. I'm not going to be debt free for over 12 years, and I'm tired of my family having to do without because of my debt.
Sorry for the downer guys, just feeling a bit p*ssed off at the whole thing right now. Seriously thinking of tracking down the ex and making him pay his half. It just seems never bl**dy ending. I'm not asking for the moon on a stick, just enough to have a happy life. The sodding ex is sitting there without a care in the world, and not owing a penny, and I'm left with it all. £31k is enough for a large chunk of a house, but I'm having to find that as well as a living for the family.
So if anyone knows where The Slimebag From Mars is living, please do let me know. In my current state I'm liable to go over there and stuff final demands down his scrawny ugly spotty neck.
Todays tip - clean the oven, with a toothbrush. I'm having a downer, so I fail to see why anyone else should have a nice day.......This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Awww hun! I definitely think you need to track down the dweep and make him pay his share of all this! How poo that it's all coming at once though
As for the oven? Not a chance! Sorry... Does having a really really bad back count though? Even had to call in sick today booo hiss!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Obe, I had an e-mail last night saying that the 4 credits for searches that I have will expire in the next month.
There's no-one I want to seek out :rotfl: (David Tennant maybe) so I wonder if there is any way you could use them?0
