Well guys, I am now officially a Missus!
The day went fairly well - panicked a bit just beforehand, as his grandad cme to pick me up early, and I wasn't quite ready. But got down there, and the look on his face when I came in made all theflapping worth it. We had the ceremony, whuch seemed to zip by, and the photos - DD was pulling a strop and refused to be in them. We had some photos taken outside the TownHall as it was CHUCKING it down and the Town Hall has a canopy over the porch. Being Grimsby there was a pair of drunk blokes opposite staggering around, which made 'watch the birdie' a bit obsolete!
The lunch ws lovely, bit worried at one point that the marquee was going to come down, but halfway through the sun broke through and it was gorgeous, so we had some pics taken in the back garden overlooking the Lincolnshire Wolds.
The reception casued us the most problems - DJ didn;t turn up til 7.30 (was booked from 6-6.30pm) so had guests standing around for an hour with a cd player and CD's that someone found in their car!! Once I finally got hold of the company the guy was really rude and suggested I was a liar - their paperwork clearly says 7.30pm. I'd have rather the DJ had stopped away actually, he was so bad some guests left early!!! He played the theme from Rocky over the top of Craig David. Not something I've ever heard done, or wish to again. At least that was better than the Slim Shady/Vanilla Ice mix he played earlier.....nothing you could dance to and all stupidly loud, but everytime someone requested a song he just got arsey. But the buffet was amazing, grossly oversatered thanks to some no-shows, so after giving all the guests a doggy bag, we had the rest taken down to the Salvation Army shelter - I hate to waste food when there's people hungry down the road.
So alll in all a good day was had by all. Our first dance caused an absolute uproar (Weird Al - Do I creep you out. Got to youtube and have a listen) I had to keep my face buried in his jacket because I was laughing so hard. Apparently we've some awesome footage of his mums face....
Now we're having a week off together, getting the house sorted and stuff ebayed. The money people gave us for wedding is being put towards our own diigital camera, and the leftover a day out for us all at the weekend.
Hpe you guys had a cheap weekend - Todays tip is to tell the people you have around you that you love them. They might know it, you might know it, but there's no harm in saying it anyway. Plus love is tax-free - at the moment. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Pictures will ensue once the 2 main photographers get them across to us - expecting a memory stick in the post any day. Soon as it comes, there will be pics galore, as one guy took 150 alone!! (and that was before the reception)This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

I'm glad the day was good for the most part, and the weather wasn't too horrendous.
Lovely romantic tip of the day today too - me and Stu have been together for 10 years, and still say 'I love you' at least once a day. I tell the kids I love them about once every 10 minutes.....think they are getting a bit sick of it! :rotfl:
Hope you have a good week off, and congratulations Mrs....um....Mrs Mr Obi...."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Congrats Obi. You're a missus that's all that matters. And it isn't a proper wedding without some little hitch is it. Can't wait to see the photos :T
As for the 5k, is it really yours to be paying off? Can you not tell the friend that it really is satan's armpit he needs to be chasing, seeing as you have just taken on the other 20k.:A
