I always go to the PO and say 'I want to send these by the cheaest method' whether it is UK or abroad. Sometimes on the heavier UK items it's cheaper to send by special delivery than first class! Always ask

Hiya, Can anyone help? I've been selling books on Amazon for a couple of months and I always like to contact the buyer out of courtesy to let them know I've posted the item and to contact me if there are any probs.

Problem is my home pc went on the blink yesterday just after I'd sent the book so I couldnt access my hotmail to get the buyer's contact details. I cant access hotmail at work and Ive logged into my seller account and cant find where the contact details would be - anyone got any ideas?

    Cheers, Nici

    Hi Guys

My listings are coming to an end and not sold, however I have noticed that when I click on items that have ended it shows the ones which sold as well. How can I easily relist the ones that haven't sold??

    Thanks

    Mary .
This is a tricky one, if you get it wrong you can end up relisting books that have already sold.

The foolproof way to do this is to either wait for the emails to come from Amazon saying 'your listing of '....' book has come to an end' and write them down OR easier still go to your transactions page and search the last 60 days, this will show you a list of all your sales, print it out and when you relist refer to it as you go.

Sorry to butt in ladies, but hoping I might be able to help, you might find that it is easier to view your closed listings and any with a '1' in the Qty column have not sold, those with a '0' in the qty column have sold.

I picked up a biography this morning in charity shop. A small book, only in acceptable condition and seemingly nothing special. On Amazon there are two copies, both priced at £78.50 (why I have no idea) but they are very good copies. I put mine on at £50 but still think this is way over priced. What would you do. I shall have a look at book finder and see what is on there.

    Hi
I have just looked at my CLOSED list on my Amazon account and there is a book on there which hasn't been sold or for which I have had no contact from amazon about. How has it got on this list?? Can I just re-list it?? It is still showing on main site so I don't understand why it's on this list. Can anyone help??

Same answer as for Murtle, if there is a '1' in the Qty column it has not sold, if it has a '0' in the qty column it has sold.

I would also consider who the other sellers are, if they are established UK sellers (99% or 100%) then they may know what they are doing. If they are from across the pond they're probably 'chancing their arm'!

Bookfinder is always a good place to start though.

That's blindingly obvious isn't it when someone points it out to you - how did I miss that one? :o my excuse is that now I'm a pro merchant relists are a very distant memory (d'ya think I got away with it?)

Welcome aboard funkyfunkymonkey - do you have any more gems like that one?

thanks funky monkey. Well there are newer editions of the book from around £12.00. I wonder if this is a case of someone going in and there are no books at that time, they pluck a high price out of the air, and then someone has price matched?

They are both UK Sellers, both 98%, one with 1297 feedback and the other 271. Oh well I will leave it at £50 for the time being, may read it first as it has a great write up.

Thank you for the welcome - if I have any more 'gems' I'll let you know ;)

Even for us 'pros' it's worth keeping your eye on that particular column - Amazon have been known to close books for no apparent reason - there was a phase of it about a month ago. I listed some books and the next day they were closed - no reason but a few sellers had the same problem. We just all relisted and they stayed listed. No doubt one of Amazon's little glitches.
