I did this last year when they had a promotion on Mailite padded envelopes, it was buy 3 boxes and get a free mini Vax vacuum, I had 5 of them before the offer finished and sold all but one of the Vax machines for £15 ish on ebay (kept the first one for light jobs like the car etc, it's a little dynamo) and shifted the surplus envelopes on there too. I love viking
Do you need to pay tax on that? I know that you can sell x-thousand of your own belongings (I seem to remember £7K) before paying tax. If it's a small amount I suppose the ebay tax robot wouldn't be after you?
I'd seen the buy 3 and get an MP3 player offer - hadn't thought of getting multiple ones to sell!
I guess I would use 3 boxes of envelopes as my books are going slowly but surely (although rather peeved to get back from the post office and not have sold any more as I quite often seem to sell while I'm out posting).

Yes, it's taxable (BIG sigh!) but since I'm buying to sell with ebay and amazon as I do both as a full time job these little vacuums just joined the heap of other stuff that I sell (OH has a tendency to liken our place to Steptoe and Son's front room, bit harsh I think....)
If you happen to find other Viking offers like this try and pick one that has a name that will sell it for you - these Vaxes were easy because it's a good name so I put some on Amazon as well as ebay and they just walked out of the door.
In the loft I currently have 3 toasters (I'm keeping those for when the kids leave home and need them) 3 cordless drills (I've sold 2 of them already) and 2 more vacuum cleaner sets of a small cylinder one with a baby hand-held one included - all this is through buying bubble wrap from Viking.0 -
Just sold my first item! It wasn't one of the more expensive items I have listed, but £7 for a game I never play and have had for about 3 years doesn't sound bad to me! Hopefully this will be the first of many on Amazon. I best get to the Post Office I suppose.

well done whitey! easy wasn't it?0

Certainly was, easier than I thought it would be actually. Think I've just realised I can use Amazon to compliment my eBay sales, as the game would have gone for about a fiver on eBay less fees!
So I've made myself a bit more money than I thought!Stuff Happens As Wave of Ambiguity Spreads:cool:0 -

I think all Amazon sellers would benefit from a thread like this. I'm still waiting on an item I bought early last week!Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I price match but one of my books has a US seller, who ALWAYS undercuts me by 1p whenever i or anyone else price matches them
in the end i price match the next lowest seller for that book thinking most uk buyers would check - but checking their feedback, they repeatedly get uk buyers thinking because their name is *****uk that they are based in the uk even tho item location is USASee the stars they’re shining brightEverything’s alright tonight0 -
Hi
I have just looked at my CLOSED list on my Amazon account and there is a book on there which hasn't been sold or for which I have had no contact from amazon about. How has it got on this list?? Can I just re-list it?? It is still showing on main site so I don't understand why it's on this list. Can anyone help??0
