I sold my oldest "pensioner" (thanks AT for the term:). In fact it was my very first listing and has been relisted about three times. Another pensioner went today but I made about 20p as the book was so heavy despite being small! Was not so aware of weights vs. price in the beginning.

I have had a fairly good week too. Also heard back from my customer who thought I had stolen a library book I sold. He contacted the library in question and they told him it had been withdrawn officially. What a palaver. Will be much more careful of library books in future! Still at least I did not have to refund him!

It just goes to show though that you should never give up on a book - no matter how obscure or ancient, someone somewhere will snap it up one day.

I rarely list 1p books though as I am not pro-merchant, occasionally if they are really light.

Keep those sales a coming :)

LOL a bit belatedly at AT's "coffee table." My local auction very rarely has books, just tat!

I was delighted to discover that one of the books on Kat's list was already sitting on my shelf. It's something I would not even have thought of listing, let alone that someone might be waiting for it. So have now duly listed it and am waiting with crossed fingers.

Tomorrow my favourite charity shop is having a half price sale so I'm hoping to pick up a few bargains. Their normal prices are usually between 35p and 50p, so not even expensive to start with.

Have a lovely weekend everyone, enjoy the sunshine.

I'm off to a fete which usually has a good book stall so my ruck sack is empty and ready and then i'm off to a carboot on sunday so hopefully I shall pick up a few bargains along the way. Hope you also have a good weekend.
  • Sold 10 in 24 hours, it's not WH Smiths but it's the most I've ever sold - very pleased - there's 20 days till my son will want his room back and at this rate I might even have the 3 boxes out of his wardrobe so he can actually put clothes in it :o
