Well I think I win on the bad confessions
I have gone £70 over my budget this week
Due to spending
£30 in mad pre-party I have nothing to wear panic
£12 on dinner with my friend - where I promised myself I was going to drink tap water and have one course and ended up having three courses and a bottle of wine.
£10 on wine and travalling to a party
and the rest I spent on my enduring obession with Starbucks which I just cant seem to get rid of and is costing me a fortune!!!
Now this is why I comitted to a part time job at the weekend - to keep me out of trouble! )-:0 -

Could you get a job at Starbucks and get yourself some free coffees? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

A little harsh Lynzpower!
Yeah bad I know but it's just about our ONLY expenditure on us outside groceries and necessary travel. No coffees/ meals out/clothes/toiletries (except Sainsbury's value soap 19p for 3 bars!) haircuts, pub, eves out anywhere except 21.60 to the cinema 2 weeks ago and a £2.60 DVD last Fri.. Our major weekly fun is a long all day walk on Sundays, (take sarnies etc so just the petrol to get there).
However I take your point and if you put it like that £1300 sounds a lot, and I can report that last night we stayed firmly on the wagon in both the usual sense and the DFW one. Here's hoping we make it tonight too. Cheers.

Maybe I was having one of my rough days, sorry if you took it to heartPersonally, I think alcohol is a massive waste of cash, but then again, as I say, I barely drink so I guess thats my problem lol

hi all,
I haven't posted on here before but I need a definite boot up the backside! I am £15 over for my June budget now, I wanted to treat the OH and I to a pub dinner on Sunday (such a nice day and OH had a total of one mouldy carrot in his fridge so it would have cost a fortune to buy food from his corner shop, which is a rip off, anyway). However I didn't realise his local was a poncy gastropub so one course each, a tomato juice (for him- he's a healthy bean) and a soda water (for me I am a tight !!!!!!) came to the princely sum of £35!! I only had £20 on me so had to put it on my debit card. I keep looking at my internet bank statement in disgust.Saving for an early retirement!0 -

Thats discusting!! I wonder how much they charged you for the soda water alone?
Why why why can places charge so much? But then obviously people will pay it, so fair play to them!!
I am out tonight & just fancy soda water with cordial - I am sure I will be looking at paying near a £1 for just that. Its depressing!! :mad:0 -
Ive just bought 2 FCUK corsets with the tags on. Neither fit. But they were only a quid- bargain. One of the zips is broken on one of them
GAH probably cant even sell that one on ebay  I might go as far as to say, I HATE BARGAINS:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I actually put £30 into the budget this month for a takeaway! When OH said 'don't you think we ought to put that money towards a debt?' I waved the menu at him and said ' can you live without takeaway until Feb 09 (DFD)?' Shameless, really!:oJanuary grocery challenge £150
Spent: £83.23:eek:0
