    Hi,

Justifying that because I'd budgeted for buying birthday pressies off ebay, it really wouldn't matter getting the scrapbook album and top for dd - after all they were complete bargains!!

May have been but it's £10 that could have gone into debt.

    Love the thread!

Thanks for this thread Lynz, I was looking at this board yesterday and wanted to add to the 'what have you done today thats DFW style?' but couldn't think of a single thing to add as I was so bad on Sun and Mon. My only excuse is that it was my birthday on Sunday and we stayed in London, we did a few things to keep costs down like booked a Travelodge £26 room and used vouchers for meals out, but we still got through a lot of money. Yesterday I found it hard to get back on the wagon and was daft enough to buy a sandwich for dinner even though I had food with me. But at least I worked last night and earned £60 to make up for my splurges a bit.

Am back on track today, feel better after confessing and not feeling like the only naughty one!

    here's my confession

I spent £26 on Amazon at the weekend on books, 4 of them were some of the ones recommended on the thread on DFW & I couldn't resist getting them any longer. I know I could've gone to the library but I didn't :( Am I forgiven?
Have not been well recently & needed (wanted!) a treat as I have been so restrained with spending this year.
Back on track now though, is there space for me to hop back on board? :)

Thats not too bad - I shudder to think what I used to be like with clothes shopping - going into next, french connection etc and buying new outfits without even thinking about how much they cost (sometimes without even looking at how much they cost) - Im SOOOOO much meaner now!
I had a little splurge last week - I brought some tops for work and some trousers in Dorothy Perkins - it felt so weird shopping!! (they did have 20% off all day tho so that made me feel better!) so I got a pair of trousers, 5 tops and some accessories for £47 (out of £50 which my mum gave me!)

Great thread Lynz .... just what is needed after a Bank Holiday. I totally agree with you Loopy ... It is so hard to spend now without feeling that you are 'SINNING'. I bought a pair of trousers from DP 2 weeks ago, have worn them loads already but still felt guilty!

I have vowed to make June my 'recovery month' Lynz and have climbed back on board. Had a really shi**y May so glad to cleanse my soul with some good old DFW living.

Have updated my bank and cash spreadsheets, have done my budget and am busy gettingstuff ready for Ebay as it's a 'free Gallery and Subtitle' day tomorrow.

Thanks for this confessional. All hold hands and chant after me 'I will not stray, I will not stray'

    Lewby xx

    My thoughts exactly.

Went to the shops yesterday as had to get a few things (run out of perfume, camera to be developed)

I looked around and got the cheapest deal on the one I use (£23.50 in Superdrug, £29 in Boots) so was well chuffed.

Then took my camera in (£4.79) and saw it afterwards for £2.99 in Boots.

So even though I saved £5.50 on the perfume, I was so annoyed with myself about the camera.

Sometimes feel like I can t win!

Ooh, I think I need to jump on board. I'm about to sin as I have to get a new shirt and some smart trousers for my interview tomorrow. Everything else that I have is so tight because I've heaped on weight with my busted ankle and it all invariably looks really scruffy. Not the look a potential "deputy director" should have I'm sure! Anyway, the trousers will be bought with Next vouchers I've had since Christmas so it shouldn't be too bad! My other shirts all pop apart at the buttons as my belly tries to escape from them which is not only embarrasing but extremely unattractive for anyone who happens to notice! I've promised myself that I will be good though and only get the one shirt!
