Eli - it seems you've got your head screwed on the right way. How can you possibly fail? :T

Go on, then, have a good old sob. You've earned it, but remember tears can be about relief as well as sadness.

The spirit of the people on here never fails to amaze me - reading back over what people have written is truly inspiring and I'm sure you'll take comfort from what's been said.

Let's make a deal. You stick around and keep posting and we'll do the cyber hugs and hand over useful tips.

There's no escape, girl! You're one of us now!

    Hugs, Minnie xxx

I don't have kids so I don't know much but I do know one thing.

It's clear from your posts that you absolutely love your daughter to bits and would walk to then end of the world and back for her. She has a mum that would do anything for her. She has a roof over her head. She has clothes on her back. She has food on her plate. But most importantly she has all the love she will ever need!

How the hell have you let her down? Give yourself some credit woman! Your a f***ing brilliant mum and I bet you my life that your daughter wouldn't swap you for anyone or anything in the world! :)

Brilliant to hear what youve done so far :T

I think you are making the right choice. Have you spoken with your local housing associations too? Most near me take nominations from housing dept lists anyway, but some might not. Worth an ask. Housing association property is your very best bet IMHO, so do try.

I've never used it to be honest (not in a position to need to) but I gather it is pretty accurate!

I mean I've seen people on here taking home in excess of £2000 a month and still getting things like £40 a month in child tax credits and stuff!

Get on the phone first thing tomorrow! :D
