The arrogance of some Ebayers

You should look at Parcelforce and Special delivery before 9am costs
Sending upto 10kg would cost you 30-40quid so someone COULD charge you that amount!!
Yes but have you ever heard of a 10KG camera?
My digital camera is large and bulky yet would struggle to reach even 2KG with heavy packaging. 2KG special delivery is £7.40 and has up to £500 insurance included. Most cameras are likely to be below 1KG which woul dbe even cheaper at £5.70.

UPTO 10kg but anywy it was to expensive it to send it that way anyhow
Postage is 10 quid PLUS packing and is a fair cost.
I tend to overpack my items since I actually like them to get to the buyer in one piece.
Usually put in a another box which puts up the weight.
The postage is going to cost over seven quid anyway plus the PACKING
You should not buy stuff off many online stores like svp and microdiract as their postage can be very high and if they can do that then do not have a go at me!
I of course consider the total price and do not just fret about the postage.0 -
Try a Bronica ETRS with 150mm lense,120mm back, and auto -winder and you are not far off0

Forgot the ae11 prism also -doh!!
Add packaging and 10kg is nothing0 -
You could always go down to a shop as this should cost you a round zero in delivery costs if you walk of course...!
Except stuff usually costs much more in a shop even though you don't pay postage!!
Decisions! Decisions!

Well sorry then we would have to disagree. I can't imagine a camera available from a High Street stockist being anywhere near 10KGs, I've sent loads of books in a box that weighed less than that.
I agree that a specialist camera in a steel box with all the extras and all the bits might make 10KG but I thought we were discussing an £85 Asda camera

CAT-THE-FIFTH wrote:So if I said 140 quid and zero postage does it make any difference or 100 pounds and 40 quid for postage??
It is 140 quid in both cases!!
So please explain to me what DIFFERENCE IT MAKES??
So you rather expect someone to sell something at a bigger loss - very nice!!

That isn't what we are saying and I can assure you that if I was making a loss I would not continue selling. Neither do I feel to charge excessive postage or try and bend the rules. I treat by buyers how I would like to be treated when I buy.

Soo
Except it wasn't 85quid and I have sent a book which cost well over 7 quid to post.
Also you seem to forget packaging as bubble wrap and a box will cost 2-3quid anyway.
So using your costing it would still cost 9 quid and how is 10 quid unreasonable??
So if you are that tight it is better to buy stuff from a shop
Alot of reputable online retailers like microdirect charge a minimum of 7 pounds plus VAT for postage but still they work out cheaper in many cases
If it is not so then they don't get my money -so what is the problem then??0 -
I don't break any eBay rules and still manage to do quite well as I'm sure many sellers do.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
