The arrogance of some Ebayers

I would be careful with charging £30-£40 for postage as people on ebay can report you for trying to avoid fees and auction will get pulled.
Personally I don't agree with people bumping up postage to avoid fees as I sell stuff on ebay and have to pay all fees but this is my opinion0 -
The part that annoys me is because you've said ...£30-£40 because the eBay costs were quite high. Tell me, why should a buyer pay your fees for you?
The buyers offer of £90 seems pretty reasonable IMO.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I'm afraid that I agree with the others, inflating p and p is bad enough but advertising it as to avoid paying fees is foolish in the least as ebay may well ignore another user if they report you for fee avoidance but will probably act if you admit it in your listing.
However, I also do not agree with users whinging about item costs when they have the power to buy or not buy. If your price is too high then that is your problem and will cost you in the long run as you will just lose out on your listing fees. A buyer should not interefere with you, he should just walk away and wait for someone else to sell it at a more reasonable price of he feels that strongly.

Anyway I put the auction the price up and the postage to 10 quid as it was only 50p more
I though it would be a couple of quid more - I wish that both Paypal and Ebay fees were integrated into one flat fee IF PAYPAL was to be usef.
Had to set up a spreadsheet to work out exact costs.
To razorbladekisses 90 quid is not reasonable for this camera anyway as it included p and p and this camera sells for 140-150 quid on Ebay#
People think Ebay is a CHARITY and put on a hissy fit if they cannot get something for a price THEY WANT0 -
Also if people cannot see the postage cost which is at the top of the auction they must be more visually impaired than me LOL!!0
-
I think the point is that they are seeing the postage and as in this case the inflated cost has been pointed out to you.
Personally if it was me I would have started it at 90 with the reduced postage to encourage people to bid up. You would be more likely to bid yourself on a fair auction at a fair price wouldn't you?
Best of luck to you anyway, hope it sells for you.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000 -
Ok, well to me £90 seems reasonable for a second hand camera that can be bought brand new from Asda for £85. That's just my view, I don't expect you to have the same one.
I don't really care what you sell the camera for and if you profit then good for you, that's greatbut what I do object to is excessive postage charges to cover the sellers own fees. If you want to sell on eBay then you should pay the same as any other genuine eBayer.
If I was the potential buyer in question, I wouldn't be rude to the seller. I would report you for excessive postage charges with the mention of covering eBay fees and then look elsewhere to bid-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Reduced the postage cost and put the bid price up.
If you make an offer -do not make an insulting one
If he can get it for 85 quid then go and buy it there
BTW - the camera was not used and NOT secondhand, Bought it 3 weeks ago.0
