Just who, exactly, do you think pays the ebay fees on all the other auctions (apart from those that make a loss)?
Clue: The buyer.0 -
And also I would hope also that when the buyer did anything wrong or bad in their life that they would suffer for it as we cannot have double standards can we??!!
Sadly other people are very good at doing this0 -
CAT-THE-FIFTH wrote:So if I said 140 quid and zero postage does it make any difference or 100 pounds and 40 quid for postage??
It is 140 quid in both cases!!
So please explain to me what DIFFERENCE IT MAKES??
So you rather expect someone to sell something at a bigger loss - very nice!!
The difference is that if something went wrong and the buyer had to do a chargeback via ebay (i think) then they wouldn't get the postage costs refunded.
I find that if you keep the p&p costs to the absolute minimum (without you losing out) then people tend to bid more, i know i do because i see the seller as a more honest person.

I think the OP's original thread title says it all:
"The arrogance of some Ebayers"
Was the OP unwittingly referring to themself?British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Didn't know that - I would never do that TO anyone as I think such things will come back to you in the end.
Thanks for telling me that!!0 -
£90 isn't an insulting offer.
Moglex the OP didn't seem to want to answer that question.
I know that many eBayers add a little extra to postage and packaging to cover eBay fees but not extortionate prices. Plus, if you're going to do that, surely you wouldn't be telling everyone in your auction what you were doing.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.0 -
No - as trying to say that I bought it for 85 quid at Asda and saying that I was lying is an insult
Would you like someome to say that to you?0 -
razorbladekisses - yes it is as the guy said I bought if for 85 quid even though I did buy it at Asda before the sale.0
-
Ignoring the whole p&p thing though, i agree your 'bidder' has been rude and has broken the rules himself offering you £90.Accept that some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.0

Can you not return it to Asda if you only bought it 3 weeks ago and it is still boxed? Why are you selling it anyway? Sorry if I'm being a sceptic here but It does sound like you had bought it in the sale and were trying to make a profit - which is not a problem at all, loads of people do it.
I agree with the others about the postage, I think you'll have more luck now that it is reasonable. I wouldn't get into correspondance with this Ebayer - like you said, he either buys it or doesn't it's his choice. Definately block him and just ignore any emails.0
