The savings (and not merely in money) are so much greater than could possibly be achieved with a petrol-based scheme.
Can I help?0 -
Not sure if this is the same for all, but most
BP, Texaco or Total are already TOO HIGHLY PRICED
So the card usually lowers it a bit, which works out the same as filling up in ASDA, TESCO/ESSCO etc..0 -

I cycle into central London each day from Isleworth (about 14 miles or so) - and I have laptops which I have to lug around with me. Altura do a very good 'briefcase' laptop carrier - you just need a rack on the back of your bike, and it clips onto it. I got mine for about £30 online, and 3 years later it's still going strong. There's room in there for a laptop and all its bits, plus book, and if you pack neatly, a change of clothes for when you get into work as well.
You can get them either from Evans, or else online from Wiggle (https://www.wiggle.co.uk) - am sure that there are other places as well, Wiggle quite often have 5% off days if you spend over £x.
Hope this helps!0 -
As has been said above, BP, Texaco and Total Filling Stations in my area are already always 3p - 5p (per litre) more expensive than the supermarkets and often Esso as well. Shell often comes somewhere between the two.
Currently I can get unleaded for 92.9p at Tesco's locally, with Esso at 93.9p. BP and Texaco are at 97.9p!!!!
Generally these levels of differential are the same, regardless of whether the price of petrol is volatile at that time or not. So, unless you are in an area where you are being exploited by high prices, I would not think that it is worthwhile getting the card whilst it costs money.0 -

Additionally, rumour has it that the supermarkets pay more attention to calibration of the pumps, making it less likely you will get more fuel than you paid for. (This also leads to people thinking that supermarket fuel gives ythem a worse MPG than other varieties.)Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
Awww
Sounded good when I first read it, but my local Tesco's is at 91.9p for unleaded and Double Clubcard points to boot !!!
Signed up for the Pipeline card when it was first announced and just seems to be the same every time i get an email update " We're still working on it and hope to get it up and running in _ _ _ _ ( Fill in the blanks )
By the time it gets set up we'll probably be running Bio-Ethanol fuel anyway, and i cant wait as it's cheaper, good for the environment and makes your car faster LOL .0 -
Oh dear oh dear oh dear
week commencing 29/5/2006
marmalde card unleaded 94.2p
tesco sidcup 93.9p
texaco swanley kent 94.9p
texaco wandsworth 94.9p
shell roehampton 94.9p
UNLESS marmalade are ALWAYS significantly cheaper then they are pointless.
Honestly.
Significant = 2p or more cheaper.Don't be a fool, stay out of debt.
Use a cashback CC and screw the industry, I do.0 -

I'm not sure that this is correct. Trading Standards carry out regular tests of petrol pumps to see that they are giving the correct measure.

Like others, I would not benifit from this card as the fuel card costs are higher than my local Shell garage."The time is always right to do what is right"0
