This weeks price is now up 94.2 for unleaded. Filled up on the way home at local shell - 91.9

Looks like it may be good if you live ina remote area, but round here it looks pricey.

Yep, it will be a good idea for many, but not much cop for those of us in Watford (my diesel is 93.9p at the moment) or similar areas like Southend and other parts of Essex near the refineries where the fuel is cheap.

    Bring on Pipeline!

https://www.petrolprices.com is a must for all!

Like others, I would not benifit from this card as the fuel card costs are higher than my local Shell garage. I look forward to the service discount though :T

Diesel can be purchased at the prices shown below at all 960 TOTAL sites. However, diesel purchased through the 1300 BP and 600 Shell sites will be charged at an extra 2.94p per litre.

Week commencing 29/05/2006 - Prices in pence per litre:

    Diesel 94.40p

Guess which petrol stations are near me:o adding the 2.94p gives 97.34 saving 1.65p/litre approx 82.5p/tank approx 12 fills to break even. I might save £10 a year but I didn't take into account supermarket petrol is usually cheaper than shell around here:mad:

Nice idea, worth it if you have Total garage nearby or do lots of miles:rolleyes:

This week's price on unleaded is 94.2p a litre. in Essex there are a number of petrol stations offering 93.9p so their price is not a bargain.

    Regards,

Prices are falling this week so its probably not the best week to compare prices. Should work out better when prices stabilise or start rising again.

Doesn' work for me this week but would have been an OK deal last week!

AFAIK this week's price isn't there yet. Which area are you in though? Last week's price on diesel was 94.18ppl - are you saying you have a garage that does it for 90?

Go to marmalade website. We don't have local Texaco which is the headline rate, but if you go to 'individual membership' and click on the 'Total' button it gives prices for w/c 29 May ie this week. Price on Total card which also covers Shell and BP is 97.17p for unleaded. I've just been out to double-check and our two local shell garages (which are on the list of available sites under the 'Total' button) are charging 93.9 for unleaded. This is 3.27p below the discounted rate offered. This is even under the headline Texaco rate of 94.4 on site.

Looks like it might suit me, but dubious about applying.
Asda is cheapest round here for me for diesel @ 96.9p, tesco & jet @ 97.9p and texaco @ 98.9p.
However, if I go for this I will pay 94.2p for this week's example, saving me 2p on asda but I have to pay £10 a year. I currently put in £120/month (when my car is on the road, its dead at the moment!) so I guess I will save £4 a month?
    Can someone check my maths?!

    [edited with right prices]
