Just subscribed - it's fantastic to see someone who's paid so much off!

I'm sorry that your relationship with your GF isn't everything you'd like it to be. It does sound like your debt might have been an excuse not to move in. I hope it all works out for you and you have a happy debt free life together!

It's not a terrible thing to say at all Andy, you've more than tried your best, if she still isn't happy then maybe it isn't to be.

You can still be very proud of all you've achieved! :)

Had a good day with my girlfriend yesterday, went to the Duxford airshow (plane crashed, but the pilot was okay). We has a really nice day and ended it having dinner at Prezzo's in Safron Walden, she sais to me that she might have seemed really stressed out lately but it's not because of me and that it's ust other stuff in life. She said she does love me and wants us to stay together but just needs it to be simple and stress free.

Another payday, another overpayment. Total debt now stands at £3710. Not bad, putting it in prospective, that's just under two months salary. My Nationwide loan should finish this month, so am looking forward to getting that statement. Wish I could pay it off faster, can't wait for my DFD.

Had a good night out last night, went to watch "Beginners" with the girlfriend at the cinema, good film, very sad in places and a little slow maybe, but well filmed and very thought provoking. We had dinner at a lovely italian restaraunt before the film, good date. And MSE wise, it didn't really cost too much as last weekend we went to a friends wedding which cost us nothing (bought the gift a while back).

Just paid off my Nationwide loan!!!! Just Natwest to go! Hoping to knock another few hundred off it this month, then a big chunk on payday.

Only concerns really is having a week off next week when we're planning to go away for a few days. Not sure how much this will cost, but hoping the budget for the week will stay to around 200 pounds. Then have a few days away in Norway in September visiting the GF's sister (with the GF). We've bought tickets using my BA airmiles, so only cost us £75 each for return flights, and we have no accomodation costs, so it's just food and entrance fees to museums and galleries really. So should be okay.

It's such a good feeling when you pay off one debt in full and you are so nearly there! Just read through your diary and you've done so well.

Thanks guys. Good to get cheered on by other people.

Just made another overpayment as my cash expenses from work just came through. Can't wait for the day when money comes into my account and I don't have to immediatly pay it out to some debt.

Thank god it's payday tomorrow. Down to my last tenner in my current account. Had no idea it had got that low. Haven't checked my balance for about a week.

Have had a really good weekend with the GF, we talked a lot about the future and where we see ourselves in a years time. She's much happier about my debts now as it's getting close to them being paid off. The only real issue is she asked me a while ago when I thought they could be gone by, I said the end of September, but unless I manage a miracle, I can't see that happening now, more likely oging to be the end of October. Not sure how she'll take it, but if I put it something like "yes, I know I said the end of September I'm sorry, I only have £600 left to pay off and I started at £27,500. I think she should see the sense in that and be okay with things. I'm okay with it, but just don't want her losing faith at this late stage.
