I've stumbled across the Virgin Mobile Discount, 15% of every spend with a NUS card seems to be the deal. Has anyone tried this, and does it work? It seems amazing!

I recently became a mature student and always having been jealous of student discount I quickly bought myself a NUS Extra card, but now I'm wondering if it was a waste of money? I've had loads of discounts, but all I've had to show was my college pass, the one I got automatically and free when I sign up for my course.
Are there any places that only accept a NUS Extra card?
PS sorry if this topic has been tackled already, but this thread goes back six years and I've got homework. LOL0 -

Superdrug only takes an NUS card and they actually swipe it as opposed to just looking at it. I'm sure there are others but can't remember them now...0 -
How many students actually have the NUS extra card? Not sure if it's worth it as my library card seems to work just fine for the usual student discount suspects. And I think having it for the exclusive discounts would just encourage me to spend more!0
