  • If theres any students that live around altrincham there is a hairdressers called Paul Michaels; 21 Stamford Street, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 1EX, telephone number: 0161 929 7368 that is offereing 30% of everything to students on a tuesday. The Salon is really good, I have my hair cut there by a girl who has only just qualified and is absolutely brilliant!!!try it!
  • Blah, I've used my SHU card (uni ID card) everywhere for one and a half years now! Never had an NUS or anything. They ask me do you have an NUS, I say yes, show them my uni card and bam they give the same discount. I was told that uni cards are accepted the same way NUS ones are.

So save yourselves the tenner if it's allowed in your areas too!

P.S.. my crazy friend finished uni around 4years ago and carried on using her card although it had expired. No one ever seems to check the date. Although I'd never do that, I will continue to use my SHU card as an alternative to NUS - it proves I'm a student, and the offer is valid for students, so - end of.
  • I am also 35 yrs old and feel a bit embarassed about asking for discount but I have found that you can get a 10% discount on non sale items in Au Naturale :T . Not to sure about Internationale but you should give it a go and ask because up until about 1 month ago they were in the same shop (where I live) and due to this I would imagine that they would also share the same disounts.
    !!!!!! happens!!!:D

Hey, im a first year student and I ask about student discounts absolutely everywhere i go, some places say no, or they will go yes if you have this student store card but we'll let you off this time, and if you're not a regular shopper there you can normally do it again and again.
I think my greatest discount which is available for all students with an active University email adress, is Microsoft Office 2007, for around £50 instead of the retail £600. It costs an extra £8 for a hard copy on disk but is very useful if you have multiple computers. I cant remember the website but im sure it can be simple to find through google, i believe it was a 'UCAS offer' and expires in April, so still plenty of time to buy if people want.
Never knock on death's door, ring the doorbell and run away ..... he hates that

New Look does 10% student discount, but they never shout about it, so always show your cards!
