I won't be on here for a while. My dad passed away very suddenly last week with a pulmonary embellis. I've just come back to Manchester, and to be honest housework is the last thing I feel like doing.

So sorry for your loss. You're more than welcome to post non-flying stuff on here. I know that the support of the Flyladies can be wonerfully comforting when you're down :A

Well, we had a lovely surprise. Our good friends over the road usually have their parents over for a family meal towards the end of the year, but the parents are away this year, with other family members. So our friends have invited us over for lunch on the last Friday of December. How kind of them, and what a coincidence that we're all off work/college/school/uni that day :j :p:D

Carol - I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's sudden passing, you must feel numb shocked. Wishing you and your family peace in the coming week X

Back from town, gee it's cold out now. Having a cuppa and then a quick tidy up of the kitchen before getting everybody wrapped up to go up to fireworks.

Well that didn't quite go to plan.....I did a little of the kitchen then came too check email. Spotted Boots had a 800 bonus points on....so had a look. They have some of the Lego Miners and City toys IN STOCK that DSs are wanting (plus one for Nephew). Anyway I got this code for £5 off £60 too CLTK46 then 3.5% from www.topcashback.co.uk (my referal link is /ref/lil_me added onto that if you aren't registered) so with 3 for 2, cashback and points £93 of 'toys' cost £44.74 delivered :D I saved more than I spent ...I only ordered to just to make it over £60 (£57 with £5 off) so I can split the orders & make the most of points.

Oh and I now have 3 presents (2 games for DS2 & cigs for DPs Nan) £55 M&S voucher and £5 WH Smiths :) so I have I think officially made a start :D:D then 5 presents for DSs & one for nephew on the way.I feel a little better now

.............but the kitchen is still a pit

embb think you are right, I can't breathe at the minute for boxes so roll on Wednesday when we get the garage key! Now considering if we can store for a boot sale too.....

Been racking my brains trying to think which badges DS is missing, one had a tent, another a backpack, a lantern and a planet ....all his first camps ones + astronomy

***edit*** when I was on topcashback I noticed I had £105.18 payable, yipppeeee money for Boots order sorted :j:j
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

Haven't caught up, yet. But hugs to carol.

Very pleased with finding a pot of 3 year old Farrow's Cream in the garage, modern emulsion, not the real mccoy. Quick stir and it was good as new.

Have scrubbed garden gate (algae gone) and painted a bit of the kitchen so it looks a bit smarter. Dyeing of sofa covers is complete.

carol lovey, sorry now I know your trouble, I am so sorry for you and yours. God Bless you.

sexymouse I (as always) echo what valli says. I have been in 16 years (since 21, God help me) and don't let this tosspot management team put you off teaching. We need good, committed folk, and you sure as hell are that.
You need to find a way to get out of this hell-hole and find a decent school to blossom in. I repeat... this is not your fault. If you were out clubbing every school night and then struggling, I might be worried about your performance, but all you do is teach, or prepare for work. Teaching, and the kids, need good people like you. Unless you are ending each lesson with considerably less kids than you started with, you are doing a fab job.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
