Sounds like a good idea to me. No pressure to sort stuff when anyone has room to store it. What is scary is that I started again with one suitcase and four boxes of books post divorce 8 years ago, DH came with one suitcase and a tin kettle yet now we have an overflowing house - mostly books
. Someone on here warned me when we moved from a terrace to this place that the 'stuff' would expand and they were categorically 100% right.
gratefulforhelp wrote: »Its true, I thought when we moved here that we would never afford furniture to fill it, now we are tripping over stuff, mostly toys.
So true ladies. We have spent yet another afternoon sorting out piles of stuff, where oh where does it all come from, I feel it is a never ending battle.
Quillion thanks for sharing
Triker - I bet you're really proud of your DD for being so sensible hope she is ok
Serena - how is your DD?The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Honest, Jinky (but I am smiling cos I typed JUNKY then...)QUOTE] I nearly always write Kinky and then have to go back and change it. The K and J are next to each other!Rach -I feel the same re Tesco home delivery. Just not worth the stress. I stick to the co-op, lidl and the farm shop mostly. It may cost more but they are much nicer.
Rach glad you enjoyed the walk, sounds fab!
Hugs Toots, hope your throat is better today. Glad your carer was with you today when you were struggling at lunch time, it’s better that they were with you than being on your own xx
Anw’s hope your throat is better soon too
Lil_me hope your LO is better soon
Diva glad to hear Tristan is doing so well. How are you?
Hugs Pollybear, am thinking of your DD and the lad’s family
Hugs to Trikers DD, she did the right thing in asking her friend to leave
Pigpen, wear goggles while sanding the ceiling or you will get bits in your eyes!
Likklegibbon hope its good news on Tuesday
Vanilla what is slap cheek?
Hope you feel better soon Jo
Lolly how did your LO fall out of his cot? Was he trying to climb out? Hope he’s ok now xx
Welcome Poppytime, what a lovely name! I love Poppys
Valli, I definitely want piccies of your bathroom, I love brandnew bathrooms!
Rach, I can’t believe Sainsburys closed the deli like that, that’s so ridiculous! How stupid are they! I’ve never heard of such a thing! At Waitrose they never ever did that, no matter how short staffed they were. Someone would always come over from another section to cover breaks and stuff as they cross trained so many people for the service counters. You were quite right to complain, sounds like they need better organization!
Thifty well done on going to the gym!
Froddy, well done on going out every day and doing your tasks, not easy things to do when you are a bit under par, you’ve done really well
Mumoffour, thinking of you all and will be tomorrow, hope it goes well xx
Carol, if you’re reading this, I’m thinking of you too xx
Today I've washed up, done laundry, and done some tidying. Also got annoyed with DH - he just won't tidy up no matter what I say or do. Earlier I stood on his belt buckle and a prong was sticking up and it was  painful, but even that didn't make him think he needs to tidy anything. It's making me so mad and I jsut don't know what to do. He did put the new lightbulbs in my lightbox tho, so I can start using it again tomorrow. After me asking him 40 million times! Grr!
He does work very very hard tho so I mustn't be too hard on him."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

flooring
vinyl?
Tiles?
KARNDEAN?
(I don't know whatit is actually..)
NOT carpet. No way!
Thought about linoleum? The proper stuff - not cushion floor. I think the brand we have in bathroom and kitchen is called Marmoleum. They had great colours and patterns when we looked at samples. Ours has been down for over 10 years and the kitchen could do with new flooring, but I'd recommend it anytime.0 -

Thanks sexym for the recipes I'll make a note of these later on
Did 30mins exercise this afternoon and feel better for it so I will aim for every other day this week (x3) plus the usual dog walking
Off to take him out for a walk now and catch up with you all in a little while
Sunnyzo - sorry I didn't see your post earlier - DS2 was playing on cbeebies a lot this afternoon.
Sexy - thanks for posting the recipes. I made the banana bread and it was luscious.0 -
I will:
tidy the kitchen again - done
empty DW -done (twice)
do more washing - done
make chicken soup with the stock - done
declutter the living room floor and hoover - done
put clothes away - They are in a basket at the top of the stairs, so at least they've moved...
buy a housewarming present for a friend and take it round if I can get the address - didn't get the address, so that's on the list for tomorrow
do something fun with DS2 - he played with his friend from next door for about 6 hours from dinnertime on, so he had a great time
see if anyone has a samsung mobile phone charger, so I can charge my phone (mine's in school) - my friend wasn't in, and nobody else seems to have a samsung
make breakfasts, lunches and teas - done
I'm quite happy with that. Just the evening dailies now, then bed!0
