Kids are in bed having watched James May's Plasticine Garden programme. We always ended up with a brown/grey mush of the stuff :rotfl:

Well, I didn't finish everything every day, but the place is looking a whole lot better already.

Monday deserves a star I think!

Thank you all so much for your messages:)

Granny was taken to the chapel at 6.00 this evening, her coffin was walked down, and all the men in the family took turns carrying it, not many people can say this but 2 of her greatgrandchildren carried her coffin, one of whom was my eldest son Kristian (14), I was so proud of my family esp my son and nephew.

Her Funeral is tomorrow at 10am and then she is being taken to another chapel to be buried along side my granda who passed away in 1986.

I took the kids to see their daddy today and break the news to him, he just kept on asking why she died....that was sad! Then took the kids into the city to get them new clothes and also bought a few outfits for my mum as she has spent this past 13 months looking after gran she really hasnt had a chance to buy anything for herself, so I had a "look" to see if she had anything suitable to wear.....I know she isnt worried but I think she deserves to look well on the day of her mums funeral. I have left the clothes for her on top of her bed and im going to go over later on to see if she likes any of them. My mum is amazing and always puts others in front of herself, and as we were following grans remains she cried.......something I rarely see her do!

MOF77 that sounds lovely (in the right kind of way), fantastic that the whole family is involved. I shall be thinking of you tomorrow morning.

Internet shop for Tuesday done - don't have to venture into local shop for a while that way. Realised i forgot to buy celery for the risotto, hopefully spar will have some, otherwise no doubt i'll cope without it!

You can update the orders until about 12 hours before they are delivered.. might be an idea to do that?!

MOF77.. that must have been very lovely.. I am glad the whole family were able to guide your gran on her way. One of the last acts they can do for her and I am so glad they did you proud.. sending big big hugs for you and the whole family.. esp. your mum and DH.. You will all be in my thoughts tomorrow xx

Awww, Mumoffour77 - that's really touching. It's brought a tear to my eye. And how nice (if that's the word) that the young lads were able to take a part in the procession to the chapel.

And well done you for thinking of your Mum and getting her an outfit. I hope all goes well tomorrow xxxx
