  • Hugs Pigpen, I didn’t realise how much you have to deal with. Well done on the overdraft

Hugs Holly hope your migraine goes soon

    Hugs Diva and AJ

Toots, well done on ebaying! It’s hard to get started on something like that (I procrastinate like crazy) but once you get going its not so bad is it?

Well done Macpep for doing your first HHC!

I'm feeling better today, I don't know what was wrong with me y'day but I'm cured today! Hurrah! DH is worn out and is grumpily watching Saturday Kitchen. Am hoping to persuade him to do 10 mins tidying today but it doesn't look hopeful.

We are going to Mum and Dad's later for afternoon tea, Mum has sent me a list of the food she's got: "sarnies, scones & clotted cream, lemon cheesecake, raspberry pavlova, strawberry cake, almond tarts. A delicious afternoon tea." Sounds incredible! yum.gif

I've put the WM on, done a bit of tidying and sorting, and plan to wash up before we go, as well as washing my hair and dropping some stuff of at a friends house on the way. I've also written another card, after months of not really writing to any of my friends/family I've written 8 cards this month!

    Have a lovely weekend everyone!

    Morning all!

Hugs to all who want or need them.
Thanks to Dusty for thinking of me this week.

Got in on Monday to be told that we had a writing assessment to do (only 2 weeks since the last one), 2 types of spelling assessments, and reading assessment to do this week. All was going reasonably well until staff meeting when I found out that I have to have another observation in literacy next Friday (13th) with head and deputy, but this time, using even harsher guidelines from ofsted! Loads of the other teachers aren't having their observations until December, and they were allowed to change when theirs were, and they've got nicer members of staff observing them, but when I appealed, as I've got 2 parent's evenings (Tuesday 4.30-7pm and then Wednesday 3.10-5pm with no breaks) that week and I said I'd be shattered, I got no option to change and was told to take vitamins as I should be full of energy because I'm young! Other NQT has got her's on Thursday, and won't have even taught her class literacy until that point because of courses etc, and she went home and cried for 2 hours with her Dad! This is meant to be my last observation for my NQT year, and I'm worried I'm going to fail it as they will be even harsher this time! Other NQT also wants to resign in February now, and wishes she'd got out of teaching last year! I told her that I would probably be resigning then too. Other NQT is worried as she is on a permanent contract and doesn't want us to leave her, but doesn't want to resign as she's worried she won't find another job. Can't wait to get out of there! Haven't had a chance to ring union again or LEA contact as have had meetings etc all week and haven't got home til 6.30 or 7pm most nights this week! Sorry for the moan, but needed to vent again!

Off to town now to treat myself to a new nailvarnish from No7 with my £5 voucher (to cheer me up) as I still haven't painted my nails! Then back to the grindstone with my list of 7 things I need to do for school and 6 things to do for home.

Sorry to be such a misery all the time. Most of the things I'm doing for home will be flying, so will post some of my achievements.

    sexymouse xx
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Try this - sweet potatoes ;) I'd have a baked one for lunch, with creme fraiche, butter, pepper and nutmeg :j

    Penny. x

Thanks, Penny. They're quite small and I've got no creme fraiche, so I think I'll go for some soup/and or mash to freeze. I'll clean and dice them and then see how much there is. So many lovely recipes, but today really needs to be a flying, rather than a cooking day.
