Morning all - lovely day here this morning. We are planning to go and walk the next stage of the Thames Path (Windsor-Teddington, via Staines!). DH is still asleep but has set the alarm for 8.30 so my peace will be shattered soon! 14 miles is a bit further than I wanted to walk really, but we'll manage I'm sure.

greenbee - have a good trip, hope the flight goes ok.
lil_me - just ask the leaders, and offer to pay for them (cub packs are usually short of money!). I am sure they'll understand and it won't be the first time they've been asked, believe me!

Just has breakfast and am about to go and pick up my suit trousers, possibly buy a watch battery etc and then come home and finalise the packing.

I'm sure the trip will be fine, but I'd rather be doing the walk you're doing (well, if I didn't still have a sprained ankle )

DW is emptied, so have to do the washing up and give the kitchen, bathroom and loo a S&S when I get back.

Upstairs is full of condensation, so I'll open all the windows while I'm out in the hope that it goes away, and I must remember to empty the dehumidifier and leave it on while I'm away!

Oh yes... and tell my neighbour I'm going, give her my brother's phone number, and call my brother and parents before I leave  otherwise they'll worry (well, my mother will anyway - particularly having heard the news last night!).

    See you later...

OH's dad update. He had another fall on Thursday morning although it doesn't seem as serious as the last one. OH went to see him last night, he is really struggling with his memory. His brain seems to be deteriorating quickly and he isn't as aware of it either. I am not sure where we are with him really. I will update when I can...thanks for your best wishes

  • Sorry to hear your news, Diva and ajmoney. I'm sending you my best wishes.

Anyone up for a HHC from 9:30-10:00-ish? Place looks like a bomb has hit it - godson stayed again last night - and I need to tidy kitchen, sitting room and bedrooms plus clear up breakfast (pain au chocolat crumbs eveywhere!) and do the DW, bins etc. At least DD has been delivered to her orchestra, so that's one body out of the way....

I'm off to have a go at it - join me if you can.

    5-4-3-2-1....... and she's OFF!!!! outta.gif

More prayers for AJ's OH's Dad.

    greenbee bon voyage

We have a surveyor coming on Tuesday to do a valuation as we are remortgaging. eeek!

Have put one sofa back together with dyed covers, and I am really very pleased with them. They are not sooo cerise, rather a glowing red!

Think I would recommend using the dylon ready weighed salt, its not cheap, but gives a very even effect, even when wm is a bit overloaded.

Have vacuumed sitting room and have acres more to do.

eta Miss Higgerty, a bit late, but I am right there with you!
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

    Morning all

We have sunshine so I've put some washing on. Today is going to be a sorting out day. DD moved most of her stuff from the front room last night in the end so I'm going to go in there and see what's what. I think I need to find a cheap set of shelving. I can also move the stuff that's been cluttering up my bedroom for a while back in there.

I'm also going to be making trips to DS's and back moving things.

I also need to go foraging for food.....

So it's going to be a busy one

    Morning all

Beautiful and sunny in the Dusty world this morning so hope to get in the garden for a bit after the football run - aiming for one hour in the front before lunch and an hour in the back after lunch.

Diva - you and tris are in my thoughts as are AJ and family

Quick S&S is in order and then I'll hit the shower.

Finally given in and put the heating on timer today - DS2 is spending too much time walking around like a nomad wrapped in a blanket!

Caught up with the thread, thanks for all the good wishes for my friend.

Hugs and positive vibes to all those in need, sorry I can't remember who needed what and don't want to miss anyone by mentioning names and missing others.

Swimming lessons soon and then a bonfire party later.

Hope you have a good trip greenbee

Better get dressed or we will be going to swimming in our PJs!
