Oh dear! I started reading this, just out of interest, having made my plan, but now I'm so tempted by all these new recipes, I'm not so sure any more.

Original plan was for OH + brother and (grown up) kids:
    Hors d’oeuvres:
Olives ~ Pigs in blankets ~ Crisps ~ Nuts
    Main course:
    Free range roast turkey
Sprouts with chestnuts and thyme butter
    Maple and mustard glazed carrots
    Roast King Edward potatoes
    Roast parsnips
    Gravy
    Cranberry, apple and sage stuffing
    Cranberry and Clementine sauce
    Dessert:
Christmas pudding and brandy and orange butter
    Christmas tree cake
    Mince pies

    Starter
Tian of white crab with diced tomato, smoked salmon, avocado & sevruga caviar

I'm doing Crab Tian too!!! Its the first time I've made it and did a practice with our Sunday Lunch yesterday - i mised the crab meat with chopped spring onions, lemon juice, black pepper and mayonnaise. Layered it with thinly sliced cucumber.

Would be interested to know how you make yours!

One meat and 3 or 4 dull veg with some stuffing and gravy - you'd hardly know it's Christmas!
