Personal Loan: Start: £22020:eek: Now: £18800 :j
Credit Card: £600
Overdraft: £5000 -
Okay, so I'm back.
At a good time, as pay day is tomorrow, so its the perfect time to come back.
So over Christmas I obviously overspent a horrific amount, ran up an even bigger Next bill, and my phone bill is about £180 for December, which I need to pay tomorrow.
Luckily I'm now in the right frame of mind to get my !!! out of debt and to start saving and paying off debts.
So my plan is this:
-Get my payslip tonight at work, and work out exactly how much I can possibly spare for debt, the good news is I haven't got anything on this month which requires me to go out, aside from perhaps my birthday at the end of the month, which I'll hopefully get money for anyways.
I'll be back to post more later, when I have my payslipPersonal Loan: Start: £22020:eek: Now: £18800 :j
Credit Card: £600
Overdraft: £5000 -
heya glad to hear you are back and hope you had a good xmas despite all of the extra spends!
are you still doing dooyoo? I keep checkin out your profile but you haven't written in a while and I think I've read everything you've reviewed, so just let me know and I'll see if I can help you out.
I requested my first cheque a week ago so fingers crossed it comes soonish! And I think it is a good way to make a bit extra so I'm continuing with it, only about 43000 more to go though lol
what job do you do by the way? (just curious because I think you do really well to do it alongside college!)
hope to see more of you on here, xxx0 -

Sooo, big news!
Got some money from college, now have paid off A&L and have around £100 savings (This needs to be double checked when A&L recieve my money I've put in).
Paid off a large chunk of next today as well, after the Christmas over splurge .
So now the A&L (or black hole) debt is finally gone! :T:j
£130 Next left to go
I'll be loan free in June
I'll have paid some more next off by the 4th.
I have money from the EX (yes broke up with the boyfriend!) coming in on the 4th allegedly.
Money from college, is what aided me in paying off my A&L!
So now, after paying off A&L, I have £150 altogether in savings, in various accounts (harder to spend that way).
I have a big paycheque coming up on the 4th, as well as around £150 per month coming in from college, which will also add to my savings!
(I've become slightly addicted!)
also...
I'm moving outtt!!!!! :beer::j:A:T:):j:beer:
Yes my MSE friends, me and 2 good friends have found a place cheap to move into, we should be moving in come end of March time.Personal Loan: Start: £22020:eek: Now: £18800 :j
Credit Card: £600
Overdraft: £5000 -
Paid off my NEXT bill!!
And my A&L.
Total savings in various pots= £250!
Personal Loan: Start: £22020:eek: Now: £18800 :j
Credit Card: £600
Overdraft: £5000 -
So, moving out the last week of March!
Paid off Next and A&L!
Just the OD and loan to go!
Can't wait!
New boyfriend whom I ADORE.
The ex still owes me £450, I WILL hound him until I get it back.Personal Loan: Start: £22020:eek: Now: £18800 :j
Credit Card: £600
Overdraft: £5000 -
wow it seems you have done a complete turn around well done thats great. I'm really happy for you.
So are you saving up for moving? where are you going to? do you need a deposit/rent/money for furniture etc?!
More news about the new boy too!! You sound really happy!0 -
So I've not done amazing on the spends, but I have paid off a lot of debt this month, so I've let myself off a bit.
Loan payments will be finished come June :j
New boyfriend is lovely, but lives about an hour and 15 minutes drive away from me, so a lot of fuel going on him, however, he pays for train tickets to come and see me a lot.
Seeing the dreaded ex at work on Saturday, but at least this means I can ask him about getting some money back.
I text him but obviously got no reply, so I'll have to be brave and ask him outright.
Might get the ring he bought me valued, see, I love the ring, but it doesn't really mean anything anymore, and I offered to give it back, but he declined and said I could keep it.
Going for a week away next week to see my boyfriend and gay friend, with my best friend, so that is probably going to be expensive, I'll try to reign in the spends as much as possible.
Did a self-control exercise of transferring £100 from my incentive saver into my A&L account (which I've started building savings up in,) so I should be about £220 in CREDIT in that account!
The A&L account purely because, I can't buy things online with it, so if I spend it'd have to be proper purchases.
I want to at least attempt to keep some savings this month, next month is going to be really freakin' tight due to a very basic wage, barely any bonus, coupled with moving out.
(Although I am getting paid twice between now and moving out).
So the more I can have as a 'safety cushion' between now and then, the better, as I'm only going to be able to save very very very small amounts between now and moving out.
I'm scared of moving out, but I'm also excited.
