Each to their own I say:D...though this comes from the girl who'll quite happily have a wee in the downstairs loo while talking to DH who's cooking dinner:o:o Thank god he loves me eh?!:rotfl:

I wish I was that open with my OH. :rotfl:
What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..
  • Glad to hear you are feeling a little better Katy, I've not kept any of my miscarriages secret from family or close friends I have found their support invaluable, we are a very close family and my mum has been at the hospital with me every time (my hubby can't usually manage as he's a lorry driver and is not normally around during the day).

Question--- Does anyone know how much IVF costs?

Did you find out the answer to this one tink? I think its about £3k, but I could be wrong. Its only about 30% success rate, I know that. Loads of girls at work going through it. One had 10 cycles and finally had a wee boy.
Got tomorrow off so Friday today for me...going for a pre-Xmas work curry tonight which should be a giggle (i luuuuuurve curry!)

I'm still not awake! I read that as pre-Xmas curly wurly. How very MSE :money:hee hee
Can you put me down on the list to test on 9th Dec? OH wants to be in the room while I'm doing it....

No!!!!! While you are actually POAS???? It takes a couple of minutes for the lines to show, he doesnt need to watch you pee does he?:eek::eek::eek::eek:

That's good you've got your family and friends around you. I dont think I could keep a mc from my lot. I made the mistake of telling my 2 best friends and one of my cousins that we're TTC. My cousin asks for an update every week!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    :D

Morning! LOTS to do today. I have a xmas fair tomorrow and I haven't got much done for it:eek: And I'm off to friends for lunch and baby cuddles :)

Fell asleep last night so MUST get some action in tonight before those bunny rabbits disappear;) But I haven't had any signs of OV apart from a little CM but that was days ago... so maybe I OV'd early:confused:

As for letting DH watch me POAS/wee.... smiley-toilet06.gif smiley-signs006.gif

Hello everyone! I am a longtime lurker (but infrequent poster) on MSE and have decided to join the friendly lot here on ttc, if thats ok?!

I'm 29 and have 2 children 7 and 10 and my partner of 3 years and I have decided to try for a lo of our own. I came off the pill this month and we are planning to use protection this month (am being a bridesmaid end of Aug 2010 and don't want to risk giving birth on that day!) We will actively start ttc around xmas. I am fully expecting it to take a while to conceive tho so may be hanging aroung these parts for a while! :D

  • smartie - your smilies are fab! I love the bog one :D

Hi balijay  welcome to the madhouse xx
  • I'm still in my jammies. I feel so lazy today, CBA doing anything. I am wasting time looking at the Cow and Gate website and working out when a baby would be due :rotfl:So, if I'm lucky enough to conceive, I'll be 41 when I have the baby  It's v unlikely that we'll be able to DTD when I'm fertile in December, so I cant wait for Jan ;):D But how spooky is this? IF I conceive in Jan, bubs would be due on DD's 17th birthday :eek::eek:

I really should do something more productive with my time. Like housework or my dissertation...:D:rolleyes:

On the subject of letting friends and family know that we are ttc, we had planned to keep it a secret....however.. I bought some folic acid with the weekly shop from Sainsburys a few weeks ago and went to great lengths to squirrel it away at the back of the cupboard BUT I left the shopping receipt on the table which of course OHs mum saw when she came round later that day :o:o I'm sure the whole family know by now! The best laid plans and all that...!:rotfl:
