Hi all,
All is quiet my end still no af but def do not feel pregnant in the slightest so i will give it a bit longer and maybe see doc?
Am in a bit of a quandry as want to leave my job but they have vvv good maternity pay so do i stay until i get pregnant or leave and possibly not get as much maternity pay.
Ramdom q but i'm sure you have looked into it. How much maternity pay/leave do u get?
At present job i get money (on a decreasing scale) for 9 month (in total) then unpaid for the last 3 months which brings it upto a year in total.
This is a good package or so my friends say.
Hope all is well and big hugs to all.

Hi TAN I am in the same boat as you, not wanting to leave work due to a good maternity package. Having said that, my job is actually quite good i suppose, I'm just bored of it and often find it quite stressful. I'm feeling very stressed and down ATM as I've mostly been working at home since christmas, and am really crap at it - which means i end up trying to play catch up and get even less productive :-(. I can go on maternity pay for a year, I think its something like what you said but I'm not sure exactly.
I've spent the last year thinking I wouldn't be there much longer as I'd be going on maternity leave soon (and then either leave or do part time), but alas I'm not pg yet :-(
oliviasmummy welcome to the board!Proud to be a moneysaver! :cool:0 -
TwiceasNice Fingers crossed for a BFP! Hope AF stays away.
Sounds like a catch 22 situation with your job situation. It depends what you plan to do after maternity leave ends I guess. The package does sound great, but would you feel pk spending at least another 8/9 months in the job just to get good maternity pay?
I'd be on SMP, however job has changed & I've been offered part time hours or redunancy. Looking for another job, however theres a 'risk' (a pretty nice one though) of me being pregnant, therefore I wouldn't be entitled to SMP when I moved. Just the basic maternity pay.

I have a question about maternity pay and smp and stuff??
At the mo I have a zero hours contract so im guessing id be entitled to nothing? However after last nights bfn result we agreed for me to seriously (coz I was only half heartedly) looking for a job down with ohbut with schools and stuff any job i did get wouldnt start til September (from what was advertised anyway) and im hoping to be baking me bun by then so i have no idea what I would do for money :S as i presume if i got a job for starting in September me working a month or two and then going on maternity leave would not be in favour at all (yes very responsible me:() now im totally confused (although in the scheme of things if i stick with this job i dont think id get any maternity pay, and if i change jobs now i dont think id get any maternity pay ~ good job me and my spreadsheets and mse ways can budget on his money alone really would be a bit tight but would be doable?
Actually does anyone have any websites etc on maternity pay and stuff - 'cause typing this out has made me think id be boogered in this job and would be better trying to find a start at easter or whit post :S (Sorry for ramble but i hadnt realised this before now)Could you be my sunshine on a cloudy day?
Could you be my yellow when im feeling grey?0 -

Anyone know if stress can cause prolonged bleeding etc?
Have had a lovely day chillaxing, got ready to go to hospital with other half leaving daughter to cook tea for her and the boys. Waited almost an hour after app time for hubby to be told he know has fibromyalgia on top of the rest of his medical stuff and then just as leave the hospital my daughter phones to say i dont want to worry you but some lovely kind sole has put our living room window through. Atm im like !!!!!! do i need any more !!!! to go wrong? So i am not so patiently waiting for police to arrive. I did ring em on 999 as soon as i got daughter off the phone and they rang her back to talk her through the safety procedures of making sure house was locked up properly and someone was meant to be sent out to sit with them. Did see 2 police cars patrolling area as we pulled up but no one has been in contact since:mad::j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j
