Anybody who has had a mc, how long did you leave it before commencing with the bd? I appreciate different pct's give different advice but i have been told 6-8 weeks, cant go that long im a (fairly) newly wed with needs!

Hi Stef, I think they always suggest waiting a cycle or 3 but the "when you both feel ready" line is probably more appropriate for us as I had a very quick mc over 24hrs and no spotting and have felt ready this week.
I miscarried on 31/12 so 2 weeks have past but we haven't dtd since we conceived around early Dec. and we both really miss the intimacy, esp after a time like mc!! In fact, I'm :kisses2:so hormones are going wild!

I've told OH that this Sat seems a good enough time as any;)...and if af doesn't arrive, we'll just keep dtd on weekends until it does so if we do fall pg we know it was a saturday and have made it less confusing if we need dates to go by...if that makes any sense?

Seems we are on the same tracks LL as i started to bleed 31/12 too and had the heavy clotting on the monday after. We had bd xmas eve and a few times in between then and 31/12. Hubby has been really laid back not asking for anything more than extra cuddles etc but it is me thats in need of a good bedroom session.

  • Just wondering how many real life people you and your oh's have told about ttc or not trying to prevent??
We weren't supposed to be telling anyone but DH told his best mate coz he mentioned they were ttc too:) And I told my best mate coz she wouldn't stop bugging me about when we were gonna breed:rolleyes: Other than that, noone. although my mothers 'intuition' has come out and I think she knows although shes not said anything:)

MM I will PM you - don't fancy posting my potential address on the internet. If anyone else wants to be nosey just let me know (you are all more than welcome!).

Its the price that appeals more than anything - I could afford to borrow a lot more but am a bit scared of the idea of 25 years of big mortgage payments. With this one the mortgage would be pretty small so not too much to worry about.

I'm not sure why it is that cheap though which is a bit of a concern - probably falling down or summat!
ME ME ME:D:D I wanna see too....I'll have a look and give you home-owners advice if you like...we saw a lot of wrecks to get to our house and the only reason our house is half decent now is coz I set fire to it:o Accidentally I hasten to add:p

On the TTC front I feel odd...I'm on cd28 and my stomach feels heavy in the lower middle IYKWIM:confused: SSing?!? Me?! Nah!:p It's probably just trapped wind or summat:rotfl:

Yummy! I can almost smell it here!:)

    Remember, you are half dad;)

My mum conceived on her first month for my siblings except for me, I took years as it was after a mc. Perhaps I'm like mum. I conceived on my first month, ended in mc. Will it take years? (turned out her tubes needed unblocking after her mc).

    Are you on 2ww?:D

Hi Quaver, I don't think it really makes a difference although I have the same blood group as my mother - the nasty rhesus negative type. Oh, and the tactfulness is certainly not inherited because when I told her about mc, she was upset and kind but later onshe said she couldn't really help as when she had us 3 (me and 2 brothers ) it was like "shelling peas...had you when we wanted you" which obviously made me feel :(

If you feel you are doing everything you both possibly can through bding at right time, not stressing and eating a balanced diet, 90% of us within a year will deffo conceive.

The fact that you took longer obviously meant you were worth waiting for!

I need it too. Funny, that! The last 2 nights I've had really naughty dreams. I hardly ever have them - I reckon that there's been some sort of surge -maybe that's why we're supposed to be more fertile after mc...some sort of compensation?

Confuzzled, Maddie....I love Rightmove too and like to put in £1 million as my lowest price and see all the posh mansions. Like the thought of my own lake, but only if they come with ducks.:p

Hehe Me too:D:D But only once I've depressed myself over the realistic houses that we just couldn't afford:rolleyes:

You should temp straight away - from tomorrow morning, first thing, before getting up, in bed;)

stef240377, I was told it is OK to DTD as soon as the bleeding stops, and you feel OK. Better use condom in case you are still open, and could get infection.
