    Hello all

I'm still off sick with my dodgy ankle. Though my colleague from work keeps phoning....

In terms of telling people we've told our parents (I'm very close to my mum and sister so it would be weird not to tell them, and I then felt we should tell his mum too). But they are not the kind to hassle us in any way. I've also told a couple of close friends, one who has had 2 babies recently and the other who is ttc herself. Apart from that no one.

And testing - last month I told DH before I got out of bed that morning that I was going to test, so he came into the kitchen (next to the bathroom!) once I'd done it and gave me a big hug as it was a bfn. I think I'd do the same kind of thing again, though next testing date if we get that far is a work day and I'm usually up and out before he wakes up!

CD19 here and 6dpo. FF is estimating AF will come on Tuesday

Hi Rach, sorry about your ankle injury, it's so frustrating, isn't it? I sprained my ankle 8 yrs ago, falling in the middle of an icy road. No cars around, fortunately.

I tested alone last month because oh was at work and I was embarrassed by smelly wee last month (a sure sign of pg and bpf did happen) Had to wait til 5pm to tell him in person - longest day ever.
  • Hi Ladylegs im also a newb :)
To be fair I dont we at the point of leaving samples in the fridge lol (thats amused me and it shouldnt i know but it has) I think the best way to sum up our ttc efforts is that were not trying to prevent pregnancy anymore?
I dont think i could be doing with the are you arent you comments off people added to the when are one of you going to move comments so I think i shall be spending my time on here posting my random babblings and thoughts

Could you be my sunshine on a cloudy day?
Could you be my yellow when im feeling grey?
  • Morning Ladies!

I have been lurking for ages and I feel now that I need your support and help to stay sane!

First, a little about me and my OH. I am 32 and OH is 39. We have been ttc for a first child for both of us since 10/09 although it is more seeing what happens than really trying. In October I had the contraceptive implant taken out and we were not sure what would happen and how long things would take as I had not had a period in 4 1/2 years. I had my first AF 20 days after having the implant taken out and since then have cycles of 13 days , 15 days and 23 days. I am now on CD26. Prior to the implant and injections my cycles were a pretty regular 31 days.

This cycle I have been terrible at SSing and have been convincing myself I am pg for the last 2 weeks. After reading into every ache and pain yesterday and today I feel like AF is probably on it's way. I think I really need some support to be more realistic and discuss it outside RL so I don't put even more pressure on myself.

Can you put me down for testing on 27th. Fully expect now for AF to arrive before then but if it hasn't will actually be properly late by then.

    Thanks
  • welcome Gravesendgirl(aka GEG:)) I've added you to the list above:)
Sounds to me like you're body is re-regulating itself:) With any luck you'll be back to your old cycles in no time at all:)

For all you newbies the majority of us here use either FF or MMC to track our cycles, helps us keep an eye on things or remind us what we were like the previous month incase we go into ss overload:rolleyes::D FF is better for temping etc though but MMC does have amazingly cute bunnies to show when you OV:D
    HTH some of you x

Hiya Nottttmy, :rotfl: I, er, was unclear - not the wee sample in the fridge but the other fluid, his... you know..seed? haha.

I think people forget how emotionally charged actively trying is and may not even think they are being tactless when they say are you pregnant yet?
Personally, I'm not telling anyone for a loooooooong time if I do get that bfp again since I mc-ed last time and it is no coincidence that I've joined this forum for support.
Since delurking I've been a right little forum stalker. hahah.

Becs, thanks for adding me to the members list at front, feel a part of the gang already.
  • Ladylegs i know what you meant but it still amused me - oh yeah im really mature.
I must stop googling random things.

Hi GEG! Wow, sounds like you're definitely getting back to pre-implant cycles.
Glad another one has delurked. Good luck for the ride.

Confuzzled, Mmm, I'm not too sure about charting. Which one is better for lazylegs? I have been on ff but I tended to do the oldfashioned method of writing my temp in a weeny notepad by my bed at same time every day. I know I know...technology is my friend and I should embrace it. The bunnies do sound cute though. Perhaps MMC is for me. I'll have a nosey. Thankyou again.
