I wish I could take the evening off work but it looks like the snow is melting, we havent had much today, I'm just worried its gonna start again before I finish and I'll be stuck in ASDAs carpark all night grrr. Driving home last night was a bit scary, snow only started about an hour before I finished and the motorway was the scariest road, especially the section with no lights and joining the motorway.0

Poor you with nightmare bosses. Mine is ok, I phoned to say I couldn't get in and he asked if I was taking it as leave. errr, no - I physically couldn't get there. Thankfully I had thought ahead and emailed myself some work before leaving yesterday so could honestly say I had plenty to do. Plus he knows I do work hard unlike a lot of people in our department!
DH's boss is the best, last feb when it snowed he got a text at 7am saying 'Work is cancelled - go and play in the snow'. how fab is that!?
If i'm fortunate enough to get pg I won't be telling work til 3 months I don't think, unless I got v sick. I'd just say 'hospital appointment'. However I work in the public sector so they're a bit easier on you i think!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

as far as I am concerned, you say you have a "medical appointment" and it is up to your boss to confirm to your anti-personnel dept that this is why. Don't feel pressurised to tell anyone else you would rather not. Do you have a union?
Unfortunately not...but my company is reknowned for being rubbsh and treating their staff like crap.
I dont think I'm going to get in there tomorrow going by what it is saying on the tv
!!!!!! even a national news story isn't enough for my !!!!!! company to cut us a bit of slack!!!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

MV The thing is, if he treats you like that then you're gonna put in the minimum effort required between now and squid's birth aren't you...

to be honest Katy most of us there feel like that. We've been treated with such disdain for so long, none of us really care anymore.
I'll still go in, do what I have to do and then go home again, but thats it really.
There are far more important things in life as we all here know only too well.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Can anyone here help me?
I need to know what the results on the superdrug own pregnancy tests mean, i can't see the picture clearly enough on the website but there are two windows and I need to know what it means if there is a blue line in the right hand window as it is from a double pack and I chucked away the packcaging ages ago. It won't let me post a link but if you go to superdrug.com and it is the £4.99 double pack of tests, maybe one of your computer screens will be clearer than mine!
Thanks very much, would appreciate the help0
