  • Hope the blood test comes back ok Laura

Still midly snowing here, glad to be indoors and DH just phoned to say they have been sent home :j

Anyway off topic but can I get your opinion on this situation my parents are meant to be coming down tomorrow (from Yorkshire) to stay for four nights, now with the current weather this is stressing me out as I am worried about them getting here safely and then getting back. Also they are meant to be visting some exhibition on Friday in London. Now the forecast here looks horrendous for the next few days and to be honest I really don't need the stress, as getting worried about getting not getting a BFP this month, getting into work myself and work location is up in the air (looks like it will add extra hour to journey each way) - in many ways I really don't want them to come (obviously do in other ways!) Any advice as they have booked their tickets so will lose out but could change them for another time??

Back on topic I said as I was stressed is it just me or is the wait to AF so stressful, have such rotten sleep this week!

Is it definately a Superdrug test and not a clearblue?

Yeah it's definitely a Superdrug one. It's only the second test I've ever done and it's from that double pack.

I spoke to my boss and she said she closed the nursery today and prob will not open tomorrow:j:jlets hope the snow stays, going to go out in the snow soon and play with rusty(dog)!!
  • hmm was trying to add a pic of it but cant, it's the same idea as that one except the left hand window is square and the right hand an oval, there is absolutely nothing, nada, zilch showing in the left hand square so I think it is probably negative.

I read that there is a test box and control box and the control line will always show up (or the other way around) so I think that must be what has happened with mine.
  • I found my answer in an adobe document from an NHS report once I searched for 'superdrug pregnancy test instructions' in google. it says:

'Positive results are indicated by blue lines in both the square test and the oval control window. Negative results only show a blue line in the oval control window, this line must appear for any result to be valid.'

I bought the tests about a year again so maybe they have sionce changed it to pink dye to stop confusion like mine. Thank you very much for all your help.

    xx
  • Hello

thought I would post for the first time here on something other than money!

Basically I came off the pill in Feb 09 and so far have had no joy. My partner works nights and I work 9-5 so we only get time to do the deed at weekends. Because of this my new years resolution is to start ovulation testing to increase our chances. (we will have to make time on those days instead of passing each other in the hall). Can anybody suggest anything else i can do to boost my chances? i'm already on folic acid.

I could also do with some help on ovulation tests. please see my other post

Why not have a quicky in the hall;);)!
I used superdrugs OV tests for the first time last month and they were easy to understand and you pee'd on the stick. Some ladies on here use OV tests and they get them from ebay, im sure someone on here will help you out with OV and anything else.
    Good luck to you:D

If you need the ttc abbreviations theres a link of page 1 of them all:D i wouldn't worry about reading the whole thread...you'll be there for ages:D
As for OV tests I can't help I'm afraid, its the one thing I'm refusing to do:o other things you can do to check when you're around ov is to temp using BBT and to check your CM & cervix...not the most pleasant thing to do but it does help..honest:)
I think some of the girls here get OV tests off ebay, someone will be along soon to help you out on that one.
Is your OH on any supplements?? If not get him taking multi-vits with added zinc(helps his boys out;)) and generally be healthy, stop smoking if you do and try not to drink too much alcohol.
Probably stuff you already know though:)
