  • Hi everyone,
SS, I'm so sorry that you're having to deal with this. There's no doubt about it, men deal with things differently to women and this could just be him freaking out before the birth.
To be brutally honest, given the way he's acting, it might be for the best for him to move out and think about things from a distance. I would be tempted to not contact him, and just let him miss the contact and support you normally provide which may be enough to sort him out.
I don't think it's particularly easy for men while we're going through this (not that I'm trying to make excuses!), because we have no real choice in coping and coming to terms with imminent birth while they are a bit removed from it. From what I can gather, many men seem to either become extra (too?) protective and supportive, or they seem to go to the other extreme and freak out and act fairly selfishly. This time my husband's being quite supportive, but with my first I can remember thinking (at about this time too) 'what the heck have I done??! Will he ever grow up?'.
I really hope things work out for you.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

I've just had my first email off Bizzie Baby!

I'm getting a lush therapy massage bar

    http://www.lush.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=25&option=com_virtuemart

I wondered what it had to do with babies but looks like it's good for stretch marks. I love lush but wouldn't have paid £5 for one! At least it's something I can use straight away and hopefully get back on the list a bit quicker so that I get something else this year as well :)

    I'm so sorry ladies for going on,really i am x can't stop crying :(
He'd have to stay with his family and for all he knows she could be with some1 else. he said he needs to get away and see's if he misses me and maybe try and contact her in the meantime. I can't cope at all and don't wanna tell my mum as it'll upset her. I've only 16weks left of this pregnancy and i must admit i have been stressy but my hormones have been a mess as ive been down since ive moved out of my family town and have no1 here :(

(((HUGS))) I dont know what else to say, but to maye echo what other people have said and call his bluff, tell him to go, I know it will hurt if he does but then you will know :(

Aww nikkit, sooooooooo sorry you are still here, little man is being awkward

Som I am totally the same today, I had a real decent sleep last night (we put fresh bedding on, how I love fresh bedding lol) but I cannot stay awake today lol every time I lay down on sofa to watch tv I amout for the count lol

Ive got two friends like that, the one that actually lives away (london) is so much more excited and like into my pregnancy more than the other one and I htought it would be the other way way around

I agree redstar, sometimes the men can feel pushed out, I know OH did at some point in the pregnancy, its hard for us woman to provide for bean inside, try and do all the other million jobs we do and still let oh's see that thye are wanted

    Gill thats fab :)

I was just about to come on here to say my breast pump from bizzie baby has arrived :) YAY Anyone know when I can first use it? how long do I have to wait after bubs is here to express? cos I think they wanted the reviews in by end of march?

Mums of babies in SCBU are given pumps immediately after the birth.. well, they are if in a decent hospital.. they can be used that soon.. expressing colostrum best done after baby has fed is fine.

It is advised in some areas.. that the colstrum is expressed before birth when the baby is expected to need to be in SCBU.. it can then be frozen and stored until the baby is born and used straight away without the need for the baby to be given any formula.. but I am not in any way advising you use it now as the prolactin which is stimulated when you produce milk also causes the uterus to contract and this is why 'nipple stimulation' is suggested sometimes as a way of evicting baby...

well house is nearly clean DD has been fab in helping me out and has done a fantastic job just the kitchen and the hallway to finish now but we are taking a well earned break. It isnt gonna look like a show home but then what does he expect with 3 kids but it no longer resembles a disaster area lol :-)

Hope all you ladies are feeling well and bumps are being kind to you :-) x
