Twinkles - any chance I could borrow your carrot cake recipe? It's my fave and I've never actually made one!
    [/QUOTE]

I actually got it off the forum,it's lush!
    sr/flour-8oz
    mixed spice-1/2 teaspoon
    2 eggs
    grated carrot-5oz
    veg oil-1/4 pint
    Brown sugar-5oz
    milk-2 tablespoons
I also add 2 handfuls of raisins ('cos i love them!).
put flour, mixed spice, sugar, carrot (plus raisin if using)in a bowl.Mix together.Add eggs, milk and veg oil and beat till mixed well.Bake in oven (180) for 40 mins.

Enjoy!I find it really moist (I hate dry cake-yuck!)

Hi SJ :hello: How are you doing? Snow due in Leeds over the next few days - hopefully it won't come or if it does won't be too disruptive, or you'll have to tell tic tac to stay inside til the weather's better so the midwife can come :D

Yeah I'm good thanks. Had a busy day yesterday so took it easy today! Not really up for any more snow though, I've had enough for this year now. Grandad is back in hosital as of yesterday so going to see him tomorrow but he seems to be doing well so that's good.

And yey for wedding confirmation!!! How exciting!

Oh no, hope he's ok? I'm seriously hoping the snow gets swept off somewhere else before it lands in Leeds, cannot be bothered with it!

I really love this dress and this one, can't wait to be a normal post baby size so I can go trying on, woohoo!

Ooh forgot to mention earlier - after reading about the 8 boys & wanting a girl programme on here we watched it last night, I was getting so angry at the tv! How can someone possibly compare being unable to have children with being unable to have a girl, seriously?! My god!

Well he was in before xmas having an aneurysm (sp?) repaired (when he got into surgery turned out to be 2). Hasn't been totally right since, and has been having probs with his legs. Went to hospital for a check up Thuirsday and they kept him in, have him scan yesterday, found a clot in his leg so operated to remove it. Seems better today but I guess we'll just see.

Both of those dresses are gorgeous! Either would really suit you. If you need anyone to come dress shopping with you just let me know! (equally don't feel bad if you already have someone in mind to go with you!)

OH is happy to have another one cos he doesn;t realise the impact of having 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First timers - make sure you discuss with OH what they will do once bubs arrives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My OH doesn't do much at all! Despite batch cooking before I went into labour for his ease, I was cooking on the day I came out of hospital and have done ever simce! He has changed about 5 nappies, 1 dirty one. He has probably looked after J for about 4 hours - other than that I;ve had Jack the rest of the time. I do all bottles, I get up in the night, eveyr night and I do majority of feeds.

OH only got a job in December agter being out of work since June so working wasn;t an excuse!!!

Excuse my spelling, I';ve had one too many :o

ETA _ we also have BIL living with us and have done for the lastt 4 months so I feel like I have 3 kids to look after nd not just 1 !
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
  • Oooh how exciting! That'd be fab. I will be honest but I can't see anything making you look like a moose :rotfl:
  • Glam I can't believe you still have BIL there. Any plans for him to move out?!

Your OH sounds rubbish :( Does he refuse to do things if you ask?
