eta: Just watched the 2 water birth videos on the one born every minute site, even OH was impressed by how lovely they seemed, I soooooo hope our birth is like that!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
16th feb we get the keys....
but now we've got to figure out how to get all our furniture from kent to county durham with limited funds available!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Kindof I think mosy people only get weighed at booking in, and your BMI isn't a true reflection when you are pregnant so I really wouldn't worry too much about it. If you try and make sure you are getting your fruit and veggies and eating a balanced diet then I'm sure all will be well!!
Hi Gymfriend :hello:
Can't believe some hospitals make you take your own lucozade! Crazy!0 -
Am I allowed to stuff my face with double chocolate gateaux just because I am doing the glucose tolerance test from Sunday night? I'm feeling really greedy, just in case they find something wrong and I can't have chocolate anymore :rotfl::eek:
Is the glucose drink really disgusting? Any tips on drinking it?
Why do 'heavier' (how pc! I would say lardy, but I am nicely pregnant atm thank you very much) mothers need a scan at 32 weeks?
Still lurking every now and thenHope to be back on here in a year! :j
I had extra scans due to Gestational Diabetes - 32 weeks and 35 weeks.
At my hospital the drink tasted like liquid bread but at my sisters it was like cheap fizzy orange.
I have a super duper monitor (BT 150) cost MIL £70
My hearing isn't great and it's not just a monitor, it has a night light, temperature gauge, alarm if temp is too cold/hot, plays lullabies, has a countdown or countup timer (useful for setting an alarm for feeds or medicines) and it has a sensitivy level so you can set it to hear a pind rop or only if bubs cries.
I have just put J in his own room at 5 months - tonight is the first night and I'm pooping myself! Amazing how paranoid you become when they do arrive.
Labour vibes to anyone that needs them - probably only those due around now know who I am
Hope to be back in a yearA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Hi all,
Yay Cafc great news on the house!
Re; baby monitors,I have used them with all of mine particularly when baby has gone up to bed before us and I wouldn't be without one. When they're little or poorly they can sometimes be really phlegmy and quite often will have a little choke and I'd hate the thought of baby making themself sick cos I hadn't heard. Also, it is so handy to be able to get organised when you hear baby stirring so that they don't wake themselves up too much crying and often it's quite possile to quickly get in and give a feed and then they happily doze back off.
That is obv just my outlook and everyone sees it different but they can be a great peace of mind IYSWIM?
F&B's last night was yum- was nice to get out too, lots of laughs does the world of good.
Labour vibes Nikki and anyone else that would like them
xBusy mummy of 4.:j0 -
Yeah, I've never bothered with moniters as I can hear DD from everywhere in the house. She was in with us obviously at first anyway so didn't need one then, and when she went in her own room I had our bedroom and her bedroom door open, so could hear her.
She snuffled like a hedgehog, and growled in her sleep so I was glad of the peace though, and obviously if they are upset you hear them straight away anyway.0 -
Hi SJ :hello: How are you doing? Snow due in Leeds over the next few days - hopefully it won't come or if it does won't be too disruptive, or you'll have to tell tic tac to stay inside til the weather's better so the midwife can come
CAFC I'm jealous, he is sooooo cute! I keep begging for a dog (I also regularly ask for rabbits, love birds, another cat...haha) but OH says not til we move
Glad you had a nice night out Choccie
Managed to buy some RLT today (at long last!), had a couple tonight and it makes baby go wild!! Also got confirmation through today of our wedding date & time, eek!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
CAFC- Yay for your house!
So pleased for you! You will be in plenty of time to get things sorted by the time littley joins you, and indulge your nesting urges. Good for you, you deserve it after having a tough time. Hope your toothache subsides a bit too. x
