Hi everyone....hope you're all ok tonight?
I'm sooooo full. We met my parents and brother at the College where I work, for a yummy Chinese meal at the student training restaurant and it was soooo good, I can't move now.Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Dear_Prudence wrote: »not that I'm an expert AT ALL but i've read that one of the reasons they want you to breastfeed straight away is because the first feed is colostrum, which is the special anti-body stuff that isn't really milk it's yellower. And it's really good for the baby to have that. So even if you are planning on bottle feeding they still think it's good to do that for the first one. But I assume that it's for bonding purposes as well so maybe a bottle feed at an early stage would also be good for that. Anyone else know anything about it?
Also BF straight away helps to deliver the placenta I think. No pressure as everyone has their own views and wishes but even if you are planning on FF then to just start off having a go with BF for the colostrum is so so beneficial to baby's immune system etc.kindofagilr wrote: »

Yeah I understand what you mean by that. I was just concerned that it can cause issues to breastfeed first off if I won't continue doing it after that. So I thought maybe its best to just start off formula feeding from the word go. Definately something I need to look into and read about further.0
