EA - Oooh meatballs sound so yummy, and now cant stop thinking about the ikea ones Mmmmm! Why do we always get back to food lol. I saw the thing for the free prints but no info on how you actually get them.

You upload 40 pics, go to checkout and it will either automatically give you the print credits or ask if you want to use them :D

EA we have a few snowsuits, last march we had snow, I only remember cos we bought our house in march last year and there was snow on the garden. I would buy 0-3 months but I may be wrong lol I love how you say its cold down there in the summer hols lol you should come visit up north lol

I never would have thought to search for Shawls!! there are some lush ones there, we have about 7 blankets, is that enough?

Haha, nooo way. I hate being cold :(

We have a family shawl that has been used for all of us (inc me! :D ) Im taking that one to hospital to :D

OH has forced me to lay down with the duvet cause im not feeling 100% :( Waiting for my RLT to cool down :)

    Welcome Drea & congrats!!! :D

I used to have this weird thing where i couldn't have anything in odd numbers on me, so if i had 1 bracelet on 1 arm i had to have another 1 on the other. I used to wear those rubbery ones so had like 40 on each arm and if one broke i had to break the other :rotfl:
And the tv volume had to be on an even number :)

oh yeah i do the volume thing on even numbers, and the volume on the car radio etc..... apparently I have a tendency to watch even number tv channels as well..... i did point out that perhaps the rubbish channels are the odd ones..... so i dont think that one stands up.....

My sister thinks its all quite funny, and has now been calling me Monk all evening....

think another big bowl of ice cream is in order tonight :) or maybe artic roll.....

started doing my sketches for canvasses as well, so that cheered me up no end. When I've found charger/usb cable I'll upload them.

Does anyone know anything about blogs. I thought of maybe doing one for the things I make for baby..... and his nursery etc, like from start to finish. Managed to blag a toy box/ottoman from my mums house as well, but downside is its white (and from the 1980's) but its literally a rectangular top lidded storage box... I want to decorate this as well but cant figure out what paint will lay on it, as its got that kind of plastic melamine-y coating...... any ideas?

    Hi everybody
I'm 17 weeks (18 on tuesday) but my bump is very visible and very obvious. ,I know this is probably because I'm very petite with a very short torso so bump has nowhere to grow except out but what confused me was when I weighed myself I'm still the same weight I was before getting pregnant but my clothes no longer fit me properly.I did spend the first 13 weeks being sick all day and night but since then I've been eating like a horse so expected to have put some more on.Is this normal?

I think the answer is yes sonee.
My bump was pretty clear at 16 weeks and i too am really petite and struggled with morning sickness for about 15-17 weeks.

I've only gained about 2lbs from pre pregnancy weight to now.....but since my scans showed on track growth noone seems that worried.....

Was wondering if anyone on here is planning to bottle feed right from the start? I'm planning to take the sma bottles that are ready to use to hospital when my time comes but I was wondering how you go about starting to feed when you bottle feed in hospital? Because if you breast feed they encourage you to do that straight away don't they, so would you do the same with bottle feeding or would you just wait a while before offering a feed? confused!

not that I'm an expert AT ALL but i've read that one of the reasons they want you to breastfeed straight away is because the first feed is colostrum, which is the special anti-body stuff that isn't really milk it's yellower. And it's really good for the baby to have that. So even if you are planning on bottle feeding they still think it's good to do that for the first one. But I assume that it's for bonding purposes as well so maybe a bottle feed at an early stage would also be good for that. Anyone else know anything about it?

Drea - welcome and congrats! :D

Conventgirl glad your 20-week scan was good.

CAFC i copied you and did breaded cod with potato and broccoli for dinner, and had tons of mayo and tartare sauce on the side.. MMm...

and I was in town earlier and bought DH a ginger bun as a treat after Ofsted and got myself a piece of Scotch pasty (don't know if you will know what this is but it's AMAZING), it's still waiting for me as I ate so much at tea :D

And DH's school got 'Good with areas of outstanding' for Ofsted so YAY for them :j

Kindof where are you watching videos of babies being born?! i mean what website, not like what room are you in... :P

I am the same build-wise, my pre-preg weight was just over 8 stone, and i was showing and not fitting into my clothes from 11/12 weeks. I too have been v sick, HOWEVER i have not yet weighed myself and plan on not doing so for the entire 9 months... apart from when the MW makes me... but I'm sure you're fine if you've been eating lots and everything :)

And she's pointed out that when it involves food I do lot of little thing in multiples of 2..... nothing on my plate is ever a odd number....and when I set the timer on the oven, i wait for the clock to switch to an even number..... and that when I cut up things like chicken or fish fingers LOL I chop them into even number of pieces, and when i use sauces I always do evens in that as well, i.e 4 shakes of vinegar, or 2 twists of salt.....

And in light of all these little quirks she's discovered she thinks i really need to explain in detail to midwife, in case something freaks me out during labour..... not that Ive ever been known to freak out about any of it mind, I think shes worried about me

So you still sure you only want 1 baby?! :p

I think everyone is different so yes, you are perfectly normal. If you've been struggling to keep food down then yes you will have lost weight from "your bits", but bubs will get everything s/he needs from you so bump will still be growing and the weight will "move" there. Does that even make sense?! It did in my head!!

So I have had a shower and have a hot curry ordered, DH has just gone to pick it up! Pretty sure it won't do anything but it's a nice excuse! (And we doubled up our chances with DTD too so fingers crossed anyway )

Thanks! aww hope your oh feels better soon.

it's pasty, like Cornish pasty, but Scotch pasty... sounds gross but it's like shortbread, with jam and icing and coconut. It's so good. You get them from Wild's if you have one nearby?!

    I am obsessed with food.

Speaking of which SJ VERY jealous of the curry...
